We had this visitor Sunday afternoon. Totally unexpected, and a little worrisome, for we have little dogs. They now require an escort from dusk and beyond out in the yard.

I like owls. They're head can spin almost all the way around.

AZRedHot 09-28-2011 11:29 PM

In the small town where I lived as a child, we had a little zoo, and there was an owl cage. If you tapped on his cage as you walked around the back side of the cage, you could make him turn his head around. It probably wasn't cool of us to do that to the poor guy, but we were kids and no one stopped us, so you know how that goes.

Oldfart 09-29-2011 03:02 AM

His relatives are back for revenge.

If it's horny and tapping on your window, it's probably an owl. LOL

I dropped by the local campdraft to play with my camera yesterday. Some may enjoy them :)

Great pictures! Fantastic action shots!

Thanks.

Noah 10-19-2011 09:12 PM

My new tank is up and running

Very lightly stocked due to it being new. The angels pictured are not staying in this tank, they will soon have their own setup.

And another new setup. My cherry shrimp tank

dicksbro 10-20-2011 01:55 AM

More nice pictures.

Noah 10-21-2011 10:55 PM

Thanx dicksbro :)

gekkogecko 10-22-2011 01:04 PM

I love the water/landscaping you do in your tanks, nice balanced compisition.

PantyFanatic 10-24-2011 02:44 AM

Some great looking hey-burners down there I see. REALLY great action shots lady. I have to ask what lens or setting on the telephoto zoom you were using. Did you have that tripod mounted?

Noah 10-24-2011 05:46 AM

Thanx guys

I love the campdraft, so fast paced, great to snap pics of thats for sure, can get some cracker shots!

The lens is 55-200mm, settings changed depending how much zoom i used at the time. Camera was on the action setting, where i can shoot of continuously 7 frames per second.

All hand held, no tripod

Noah 11-12-2011 04:47 AM

Been annoying the bird life again *L*

dicksbro 11-12-2011 05:26 AM

Two thumbs up!!! Great pictures, Noah!

Lord Snow 11-12-2011 10:05 AM

What kind of bird is the one with blue on it's wings? It's the third picture from the top.

Noah 11-12-2011 03:42 PM

Thanx guys :)

LS ~ the pic above, the blue winged bird in flight, is the same type of bird, some kind of duck

Oldfart 11-12-2011 07:01 PM

I liked the Sacred Ibis pretending to be an umbrella, but they're all great.

gekkogecko 11-13-2011 12:06 PM

The close-up of the Muscovy Duck (the one with red patches) came out really well, the detail is outstanding.

PF is known for his affection for K-9 dogs.

I took this pic of a RAAF guard dog a few years ago.

It's a beautiful dog with BIG teeth.

Noah 11-14-2011 05:19 AM

Ibis are ugly damn things, but they are good to make fly *L*

The white duck was fairly calm when approached, great to get shots of!

Gorgeous dog OF

Noah 11-14-2011 05:26 AM

New pics. I love horses!

Noah 11-14-2011 05:30 AM

More................

Oldfart 11-14-2011 05:43 AM

I understand the shin guards, but the poor horses with the bunny ears?

Noah 11-14-2011 06:04 AM

Horse ear muffs. Muffle noise or keep bugs outta the ears while riding, depending on type used. The ones used on the horse pictured i think are to keep flies/bug etc out

Oldfart 11-14-2011 06:44 AM

I suspected that they may have been audio-blinders.

Lord Snow 11-14-2011 07:01 PM

It's usually to keep them from getting spooked from applause or other loud noises. I had a friend that was into horse jumping and I remember a few horses being skittish like that.

Fangtasia 11-14-2011 07:20 PM

Yep usually, the horse in the first picture, they are bug type. The last horse look to be audio type

Oldfart 11-14-2011 07:58 PM

There goes my theory about a equine Bunny Club.

dicksbro 11-15-2011 06:38 AM

That's too bad, too. I was anxious to meet Hugh Hoofner. :(
