((hugs)) I'm so glad you are OK and happy with having done it! What makes me mad about DR.s and hospital is that they do have a drug that will stop the *heaving your guts out* but it's very costly and they will often refuse to give it. It's called Zofran, and I suggest anyone who is ever having surgery to tell them before hand that you want it given to you bother before and after sutgery.
Too late to help you but it pisses me off they allow people to feel so ill when they can stop it.

Thats sounds like the stuff they injected into my legs....didnt bloody work *LOL*....they seemed suprised that it didnt...it wasnt til the morphine wore off that i could keep anything down

Hon, as I recently had some surgery I haven't posted much

BUT......you and your surgery have been on my mind a lot! I peeked in tonite specifically to see how it went for you and here you are already updating everyone on your new boobies! :p 12!!! POUNDS!!!!?!?! Like zowie lady, I can imagine the difference you feel is dramatic.

SO glad the pain is subsiding for you. Oddly I found over the counter meds to work better than the ones my doctor prescribed.

Please update after you've had your first shower. :D I found that SO fun. I could wash under my breasts without having to use both hands to lift them up! LOL

As for pain....i havent really had any in my boobs at all....now where they did the liposuction was a totally different story....it is still sore and bruised

I absolutely love me new boobs....even though they are stilll looking rather battered and bruised *LOL*....OMG perky is good!!

Well we may have a wee problem....i woke up this morning to blood on my nightclothes and it still oozing once i realised...it is coming from around the left nipple....the one that is dark (from bruising they thought)

I rang the surgeons office this morning and are to go as soon as i can get there for it to be checked

I have a feeling...and always have since they thought it was bruising....my feeling is the nipple is either dead or dying

But dont panic for me *LOL* if it is, it is....it was one of the risks

I still love em....even if one ends up with no nipple...its the whole having to go back into surgery that gives me the horrors lol....i cant afford it really...but oh well if thats what has to happen...then there aint much i can do about it eh

I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you until you report back again.

Ok i'm home and the go is...its not looking the best and it will be a long drawn out event either way

The nipple will do one of two things

It will heal underneath....healing upwards then slough off the dark unhealthy part of the nipple

or

It will die completely and i will require further reconstructive surgery at a later date (if i wish it)

I have to change the dressing every two days...and am on antibiotics again (man they taste like dog shit) to curtail any other complications that may arise...

Either way....i love me new boobies...and the risk was definately worth it

I have an appointment with the Surgeon again on Monday

I'm so sorry you're having nipple difficulties, you're right though, that's definitely something they warn you about possibly happening.

I assume the nipples are grafted? Grafting is a bit more dicey when it comes to the end result.

I'm just glad that you're out of hospital and on your feet. I tend to fret a bit when people that I like go under the knife.

I think that the nipple problem will resolve itself. I have decided to spend a portion of each day concentrating upon, and thinking about your nipple(s). Surely that is bound to have an effect in some way or other. :D

I'm not holding any hopes for it to heal actually.....the breast is uncomfortable today...i wouldn't say painful...but its aching....the dressings have a considerable amount of blood on them this morning...and that 'feeling' i have is strong

But ya never know....the ole Pixies Power just might fix what i believe is unfixable eh :)

Update: I was sposed to change the dressing on 'Bill' every second day....well that just aint happening...i've had to change it daily due to the seepage and the smell.

I go see the Surgeon again tomorrow....i'm nearly 100% sure 'Bill' is now dearly departed...or not far off

The surgeon tells me to that when i'm in the shower to just let the water run over 'Bill' and to gently massage the breast to allow any ikkies that wanna come out to do so.....(normally the nipple is covered with a waterproof dressing)

well i did last night and i've figured out where the goop is coming from....theres a small hole around the edge (along the stitch line) where the nipple looks like it has broken down a bit....

Since the shower...The nipple area is peeling...and really doesnt look good *L* but it is still reddish flesh underneath (so there must be some blood supply right?)....it tangs a bit but the goop coming out seems to be clearer...i'm hoping thats a good sign for Bill's sake *L*

'Bill' has lost his fight

I'm scheduled to go back into surgery on Tuesday 28th Feb....they will be removing all dead and dying flesh and doing a skin graft

I'm unsure how long i'll be in hospital for...but they're saying around 2 days
