Nice day yesterday, driving over to Indianapolis. Hot, but nice. Thank heavens for air conditioning. Snacked on KFC chicken as we drove. Daughter fixed a wonderful steak dinner last night and we all then watched a movie called, "Catch Me if You Can" with Tom Hanks. It was funny ... as in REALLY FUNNY.

BTW, tried a new soda (for me). Diet Rite "White Grape" soda. It was really good. Any of you ever try it?

It's nearing 9pm. Was a superbalicious day ^5!!! Woke early so I could chat with a friend before packing up my kiddos, some PB&J sammiches, and Summer's crew, and heading off to the beach. Came home rested and sun-kissed. Checked in with my hubby, working late again. I wish his damn project would just be done! Ate strawberries and salad for dinner...god I love summer time. I think maybe I should top this day off with a mudslide or 2 or 5486576. Kids are quiet....that's a bad sign. I'd better go check!

its 3 47am on saturday, im bored. one of my friends just left a few hours ago after fullfilling every sexual need i could possible think of. friend with benifits, rather. now im posting here on pixies and watching scooby doo!...kind've watching..kind've tolerating...

Missed not getting on Pixies yesterday. Still at our daughter's house, but will be heading home in a bit. Then, maybe, I can get back to my normal posting. :D

Tyler was out with friends last night so I enjoyed the peace and quiet when I came home from work (sorry, T!!!). The deadline for my story is nearing so I've got to try to get a handle on the differences between GMO issues in North America and Europe. NOT the preferred reading I had in mind for summer.

It was really discouraging to log onto the net and find I couldn't get to my favorite site. There was a while there when e-mail seemed to be the only reason to log on at all.

Six in the morning. Got up and five and logged onto Pixies, catching up on all the games. :) Nice way to start a morning.

Seems like I've spent most of my day logging in and out of Pixies. Can't seem to keep away from the pics tonight. Oh well, 'tis time for bed. One more day of work and then I'm gone for a week. Must remember to pack the laptop!

4:30 am. Warm beginning to what looks like another hot day.

It's my wife's birthday today, so will be taking her to dinner this evening. Right now, I'm thinking of going for a walk in a nearby park.

But first things first ... Pixies! :D

I'm up earlier than usual again and hope to accomplish a lot. The gym, story research and a bit of housework is on the list.

It's going to be a scorcher here again today.

Got up around 3:45. Checked e-mails (mainly junk); deleted those, responded to others, then came to Pixies. Still here at 5:04. :D

Had LOADS of hassle from a doctor on thursday, who wanted someone to go and visit one of his patients and detain him (kinda like a court order, which allows him to be taken to hospital against his wishes!) Thing was, the Dr didn't know (a) where the patient actually was (b) what his mental state was {hadn't seen him for over a week} and threw in a the last minute the guy was intending to cut all his skin off..... and had several knives to do it with!! And wanted US to go get him...... don't think so!

Dealt with that, and a few other things almost as bad... boy was I glad to get out of there!! Yesterday, just too many patients and not enough hours in the day...... got there in the end though (2 hours over time! :()


Today... just sitting here, daughter and dog messing around the house, CA at work (:() ...... playing games with ViciousTease!! (Fun fun fun!! :D)

It's finally my Friday. I'm concerned about my supervisor who drank 25 shots at his birthday party last night. Ugh. Hopefully, someone will have an update on him at work.

Planning a bike ride to Toronto Island on Sunday. I hope someone comes in and magically cleans the house while we're gone :)

It's about 4:30AM. Just got up maybe an hour ago. Spent yesterday at a family reunion (wife's family) at a park near Decatur, Illinois. Maybe forty showed up.

Had a great time. Quite warm in the sun, but a nice breeze and very comfortable in the shade.

Lots of food, picture taking, and games. Volleyball, "kick" baseball, badminton, ... all kinds of stuff. Had a good time.

Bad news ... missed Pixies. Oh well, back now. :)

Woke up around 9am. Spent the morning working, then a few hours working on a story I've been writing. It's raining outside, so no skinny dipping this afternoon. I'll have to find another excuse to be naked all day. lol Fortunately, I've secured a companion for dinner this evening. Unfortunately it means I not only have to get dressed, but I'll have to cook. I only hope he is properly thankful. ;) We shall see ...

Can't believe I woke up at 2AM ... wide awake. Only one thing to do in such circumstances ... log onto Pixies. :D Pixies, nature's way of dealing with sleep disorders. :D :D

First thread I read today was from Sharni. I'm pretty sad about the fact that the site is on "borrowed time". I'm going to miss logging in every day.

3:17am Just winding down from another day in paradise. I don't want to think about Sunday and having to go home. I don't want to think about Pixies leaving either. As a fairly new member, I haven't had a chance to meet many here so I hope the yahoo group will get a good response. I'll be checking it often. *sigh* Well, off to bed. Good night Pixies ... :)

Tried to book tickets for a Bowie gig in November...... only to find out they don't go on sale til Friday!! (Bum info from a co-worker) CA has pre-ordered them through her supplier.........fingers crossed!!

Sharni, with that job this is the first time I read of your son's accident. My heart and prayers go out to him and to you and Bilbo as well. With seven kids I know the feeling of helplessness when one of them is hurting and you can't really do anything to take the hurt away. Here's hoping he's doing good now.

Me, right now. Just playing some games before church. Have to help at the service today. Then ... I want to relax.

It's been a month now, Sharni. Is the little lad doing well with his burns? Hope it's going well for him.

I run a Walking Group for patients/clients as part of my job, and yesterday (Friday) was the latest excursion. We had been planning to do part of the West Highland Way called Conic Hill... we did it 2 years ago, and figured because of the Very high (for Scotland!!) temperatures, we'd skip that and do what looked like a pretty easy section! Oops!! Turned out there were lots of pretty steep climbs, the last one of which was a 300ft ascent in a distance of less than 1/4 of a mile!!

Still, we made it! (just) Nice thing was, we pased and re-passed and passed again a young couple from Hawaii, who'd come over to walk the full 'Way (96 miles!!!) and expected the usual Scottish summer - i.e. wind, rain, midges......... LOL!! THEY made it too, despite the lassie carrying a pretty badly cut knee!!

Anyhoo..... VERY stiff and sore this morning, despite a long soak in the tub last night! The things I do for my job!! :)

I can't believe I'm getting ready for work. Because of the heat, the overtime I worked last night and the dog getting sprayed by a skunk, I've only had about two, maybe three hours of sleep. I spent 10 hours in an unconditioned building at work, and came home to sweltering heat because we couldn't use our fans . . . I'm so tired and if work doesn't have a/c going, I'll probably have to turn around and go home.

Tyler had to miss work to tend to the de-stinking of the dog. Craziness.

I am getting ready to leave work and pack for vacation. Can't wait. Kids go back to school after we get back. I'll miss pixies, it will give me plenty to read when we get back. See you fellow pixies.

Went to orientation at University of Chicago and fell in love with my new school. Decided between two jobs. Talked to an old friend and planned to get together this weekend.

Exceptionally quiet, it seems. Probably ought to lay back down for an hour since I do have to work today. :(

Woke up at 530 with the bf. Watched the news while he was int he shower... Kissed him as he left... Sat down and watched another 5 minutes of the news until I heard Pixies Place calling my name. The rest of the day will consist of cross stitch TV and looking for a job...

Sounds better than getting eaten by clowns...they always leave white makeup on your thighs. ha ha.

Woke up at 6:30, scratched and rubbed myself until 6:45 or so, showered, dressed & fed the kids, put them on the bus, had breakfast & coffee, came to work, hollered at a few morons, logged on to pixies and started to relax.

Woke up about three thirty and came directly to Pixies. Posted and posted and still doing that.

It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it. :D

Gee, since 8/30 no one's posted. Just to bring you up-to-date ...

2. Had to rid my 'puter of a virus,
3. Been working about every day (usually only five hours or so)

Had to take CA's car to the "Doctors" yesterday....... split exhaust!! :(

Went for a wee run, then lunched "out". Feeling frisky when we got back...... NO kids, NO people on the phone/at the door....... BLISS!! (Couldn't find the spare memory card for the camera, so NO pics, either!! ;)

Had to go look after my daughter last night, while her mother went out "on the piss"!!! Don't mind that, but my Ex's PC (which is a LOT newer than mine!) runs XP and a dial-up...... combined with a tendency to shut of Windows at the most inopportune times, is enough to drive a Saint nuts..... and I ain't no Saint!! :devil:

Ho hum....... back there tonight, too! :( :(

Fixed up my resume with a nice co-worker over the weekend, applied for two jobs on Monday and heard back from one on Tuesday. Went to the job interview but couldn't find the address. Found the street, found the other nearby addresses . . . realized I was going to be late and realized I didn't really want that job . . .

Nice morning sex session this morning. Am taking a break from pretty much everything until work at 3:30 p.m.

Oh wait, looks like a good job to apply for . . .

Woke up about 3:30 and figured I'd just log on to see what was happening. It's after 6:00 and I'm still here. It's raining out. I was suppose to be in a parade today, but not sure if it'll happen right now. :(

Oh well, it'd give me more time for Pixies. (Am I addicted or what? :D )

Have to work this weekend ~ but we were really quiet, so I had plenty of time to work on my story!! Gonna get an opinion or two on it, then (IF it comes up to scratch!!) post it. Funny, but the prospect of that makes me MORE nervous than ANY picture I've posted!! Go figure, huh?? :)
