Is Dicks wings a southern thing? though I love them I figured how appropriate I crave those and can put it on pixies |
I think "Dick's Wings" is a southern thing d5254t! I'm up north and I've never heard of it. Matter of fact, we don't have a "wings" place at all up here. Not an exclusive wings place, that is. There are many places that serve wings as part of their menu (usually as an appetizer), and some pubs, bars and Inn's have "wing night", but they don't serve wings exclusively.
Your reply did get some notice though! LOL! *awaiting WI's comment* |
It can't be too southern, cause I'm pretty damn south and never heard of it :p
|
I just looked them up and they are pretty much exclusive to the eastern coast of Florida, mainly Jacksonville, I never knew that I just took it for granted that they were all over, because they have advertising with Hooters, like I prefer Dicks over Hooters and vice versa.

Hmmm...tonight I think I ate my weight in Ma Po tofu with extra broccoli :)

Lil - have you ever made watermelon balls, frozen them and then while they are frozen serve them in a glass of 7-up or Sprite (even works with diet 7-up/Sprite) .... that was one of the treats we had at Thanksgiving when I was a kid .... to this day I feel like its a special occassion whenever I have that .... something about the ice crystals in the watermelon and the bubbles in the 7-up ... ok, somebody slap me, I'm just rambling now....... :)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm watermelon balls. Never had them but I could def eat my weight in them.
Yesterday I ate my weight in vanilla wafers. |
Lil,
I have a recipe for frozen watermelon wedges, covered in jam and sprinkled with shredded coconut......haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it's mmmmmmmm. I'm also wondering about trying to adapt that to make an alcoholic version with vodka...........I'll keep you posted. :D |
oooooo champagne and watermelon balls
|
LOL!!! It probably started as an alcohol and frozen melon drink ... just most of my family doesn't drink .... and of course it was for a family meal at thanksgiving, so had to be a non-alcohol version. :)
