Morning everyone. I got the news on and I am watching it get closer and closer to Tampa. Hubby has family in that area and we haven't been able to get a hold of them. I know they must have evacuated since they are a mile from the beach in Sarasota.

We are on the west side of Orlando and it can could be bad here by late this afternoon. Thanks for all the prayers Pixies. We really need them here today.

Its 93 milies away from me and the eye will pass over us around 10pm bringing the worst of the winds. Nothing like a hurricane in the freaking night time!! :eek:

It's over now.:D I am so relieved. Not sure how much damage was done across the state. We will start leaning about all that. But it did by pass us and is moving out of state.

It was wild there for awhile. We just sat in the dark looking at the trees on our patio.

I've read about four deaths so far - three in Cuba and one in Florida (a man trying to save others?).

It's amazing that more weren't hurt but a blessing, too!
