Yep! I got that KrazyKU! I was talking more about the nooks and crannies and that spatula don't work for shit on those....lol! I did what Lil suggested initially.....and warmed it up, unplugged it and set really damp paper towels in it. It steamed the gunk loose....and then I did the hot, soapy water thing...and voila....it's clean as new now! TY so much!

Yes Catch22......the grill is great! It cooks with no need for oil or butter or even non-stick spray and it's tilted to drip off the fat (if there is any) and the meat doesn't sit and cook in it's own fat! The lid and the bottom are the cook surfaces so there is no need to turn the meat either!

My kids think it's Science Night when I cook for them in it:p

Lixy,

I think you found your own answer. The grill may not need no stick spray.......but maybe it would be easier to clean if you tried using it anyway! :)

I would hesitate to use no-stick spray unless the instructions say you can. Many products say not to.

I dug out the instructions to my non-stick fry pan:
"We recommend that you do not use aerosol no-stick cooking sprays to grease the pan. Vegetable oil sprays have a low smoke point and burn easily, causing a sticky build-up on the surface of the pan."
