But the child that's born on the Sabbath day
Is fair and wise and good and gay. hmmmmmm well I am a lesbian |
I was born on a Sunday, although I know a slightly different version of the rhyme (the English version, maybe?) It's the same until if comes to Sunday which goes:
"And the child that is born on the Sabbath day, Is bonnie and blythe and good and gay." Don't even know what blythe means, so perhaps I've remembered that bit wrong! |
Tuesday here, no grace...

Blythe, in the Olde English, or Blithe today means:
blithe ( P ) Pronunciation Key (blth, blth) adj. blith·er, blith·est Carefree and lighthearted. Lacking or showing a lack of due concern; casual: spoke with blithe ignorance of the true situation. |
Thanks for that Osuche - sounds like me!
