sad sam had it about right for Tennessee, probably a plate for every single special-interest group that crawls out of the woodwork.
Always confuses me when I see the college teams plates: A Tennessee plate supporting univ of Florida or Alabama just looks wrong... & also looks like someone looking to get his ass kicked. :rolleyes2 |

In Illinois the plates are made by the developmently disabled. I heard on a news (Fox or MSNBC) that Illinois has issued more vanity plates than any other state, do not know how true that is.
