Heard today some parts of the state it had jumped to $6. I'm not sure if it true or not.
|
I heard the same thing here and that they are rationing it. I think it has caused widespread panic because every station I passed on the way home had long lines of like 50 cars trying to get gas. It was crazy.
|
Evidently the rumor mill has wound everybody up everywhere. The Pilot station at the KY border (of PAGAN 09 legend) even let me down today, $3.89/gallon...
|
Most stations in my town have no gas. None.
|
Most of the stations locally were around $3.85 yesterday when I was out, but I heard that in Bloomington, some stations were hiking their prices above $5.00 (gouging!) Have to check later today to see how it's doing today.
|
The paper says there is absolutely no reason for this. There is plenty of gas. People read some stupid email and believe things without confirming it. This is how widespread panic begins and it is not what we need at this time in our country's history. We need to be smarter than the idiots passing around shit on the internet.

It was insane yesterday!! We ran out of regular by 7:30 am yesterday, and the rest of our gas by last evening.

Tell me about it. mrs zoid sees on the news that stations are running out of gas & thinks she should run right out to join the flock rushing to be fleeced...meanwhile, today I just need a couple of gallons for the lawn equipment, and there's nor a drop to be had, except for driving 2.7 miles out of my way... Lemmings....we are all lemmings... |
$3.49/gal. here today for the cheap stuff.

To all of you paying less than $3.99 a gallon, & have gas available at all the nearby stations, I say to you, from the land of scarcity & long waiting lines...
I hate you. Every one of you. (not really...but I am terribly envious, & I'm not usually a Jealous Guy.) |

We pulled into the pumps at my work and before we could get the regular at 3.97 they ran out of freaking gas yet again! So, we got mid-grade at 4.14. Sheesh!

Haven't seen a price below $3.71 since Ike came calling. Guess I shouldn't complain, since we're no longer seeing plastic bags on the pump handles, but still... :banghead: |
It was $3.25/gal. here yesterday and, of course, I didn't stop to top off. I suppose when I go out to do it later today it will have gone up. :banghead:

With the Oz dollar deep in shitter's ditch, the drop in the price of crude in USD is matched by the currency swing.
