$3.29 here...

IowaMan 02-12-2008 10:49 PM

$3.01/gal. here today for the cheap stuff. Then again, milk was $3.98/gal. so I'm not sure which ticked me off more.

dicksbro 02-22-2008 07:10 AM

$3.07 in one of our neighboring towns. That's about the best locally. And, you're right, IowaMan, the price of milk is ridiculous. The cows must have gotten a good agent. :rolleyes2

scotzoidman 02-22-2008 08:41 PM

$3.09, still under $3 with my Kroger discount, but it's still crazy high price to my way of thinking...

smithy020 02-22-2008 10:41 PM

Still about £5.50ish a gal over here. god we brits are lucky!

Scarecrow 02-22-2008 11:54 PM

$3.08 today

IowaMan 02-23-2008 07:42 PM

$3.05 here today.

Lilith 02-23-2008 07:43 PM

$3.20 heading into the spring break price hike

jay-t 02-23-2008 09:36 PM

Thursday gas went from $2.95 to $3.11 then today it went from $3.11 to $2.99!! go figure

Sharni 02-23-2008 09:38 PM

E10 is $1.18/litre
Unleaded is $1.22/litre
Diesel is $1.30/litre
Autogas is $0.70

Oldfart 02-23-2008 09:48 PM

Unleaded in Darwin is $1.43.9 this morning.

That's US$ 4.75/gallon (ish)

sodaklostsoul 02-24-2008 12:10 AM

Not sure how much it costs to smell the gas in this room but I saw $3.08 the other day and $3.02 today. Maybe by the time I need fuel it will be back to $2.90.

sodaklostsoul 02-25-2008 11:13 PM

I paid $3.01 today.

dicksbro 02-26-2008 04:01 AM

$3.06 was the best I saw around here yesterday. Most were at $3.09 and one was up around $3.13. :(

IowaMan 03-03-2008 07:11 PM

I paid $3.02 today in a small town on my way to Cedar Rapids and it was $3.05 at most places in Cedar Rapids.

jay-t 03-03-2008 07:24 PM

Holding steady at $2.99 here in town ,in the city it $3.05

sodaklostsoul 03-05-2008 10:35 PM

$3.16 but I had a coupon for $10.00 off purchase.

sodaklostsoul 03-07-2008 11:17 PM

Glad I gassed 2 days ago.......................wholy buckets it took a jump today!!

$3.35 I saw at one station.

PantyFanatic 03-07-2008 11:49 PM

Scarecrow 03-08-2008 12:23 AM

Jumped today from $2.95 to $3.15/gal

rabbit 03-09-2008 02:16 PM

$3.39 at Mobil, but $3.23 at Sam's Club (where I gas my car).

dicksbro 03-10-2008 05:39 AM

$3.26 looked like about the best I could find around here yesterday. :(

IM1469 03-10-2008 08:56 AM

Holding at $3.19 until places get their next delivery...If you want a shocker, diesel for trucks is $4.19!!! I don't know how many of you watch that price as to gauge the future increase in food prices and delivery surcharges.

Diesel is $3.89 here, gas is holding at $3.15

PantyFanatic 03-10-2008 10:52 AM

Good point IM1469

Can somebody that knows something about the cracking process tell me why diesel fuel use to be at least 20% LESS than gasoline and now (and started creeping up when they began putting diesel engines in consumer vehicles) is 25% higher?

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to diesel generally, but I'm always looking for something to read while filling up to distract me myself from the depressing way the dollars roll upward during fillup...& in that reading, there seems to be some new higher quality standards for diesel (emission standards) that weren't in play a year or two ago...that would tend to drive the cost up a bit. The "creeping up" you noticed back when everybody went diesel would have been explained by ole reliable "supply & demand", which quickly began to look like "bait & switch"...

Saw a Benz in the bank drive-thru the other day with a bumper sticker, "BioDiesel: No War Required."

IM1469 03-15-2008 11:39 AM

Don't know what gas will jump to (now $3.29) since oil hit $110.00 a barrel, but diesel jumped from $4.19 to $4.45 in one price increase. I hope that isn't a sign of what I see on Monday morning when I WALK past the gas station!

PantyFanatic 03-15-2008 12:04 PM

It seems like a good step towards feudalism. :rolleyes2

jseal 03-15-2008 02:05 PM

I had occasion to drive down the Eastern Seaboard from Baltimore to Charleston on Thursday, and gas prices ranged from a per gallon high of $1.36 to a low of $1.09. I took advantage of the sale at Pilot to fill up.

Interestingly, the low prices I saw were commonly in the towns, and the higher ones between them.

When I was young diesel prices were lower than gasoline. I wonder what changed that.

maddy 03-15-2008 02:35 PM

Do you really mean prices in the $1 range? That's a typo, right?!?!?!?!

jseal 03-15-2008 02:40 PM

A BIG time typo!

I can only wish they were "$1.36 to a low of $1.09"!

TY

jseal 03-17-2008 06:10 AM

Returning on Sunday, prices seem to have gone up a couple of cents to $3.11 to $3.38.

sodaklostsoul 03-17-2008 07:05 AM

Sat. I think it was I paid $3.36.

dicksbro 03-17-2008 11:34 AM

$3.28 is the lowest I saw today when I went to Peoria.

dicksbro 03-28-2008 10:36 AM

$3.39 seems to be representative of what local stations are charging. Up from $3.16 earlier this week. :(

Be nice to get that stimulus check ... it should let me get to the gas station to fill up. :(

sodaklostsoul 03-28-2008 10:38 AM

When I don't need to fill I see $3.16..................I always end up paying $3.34.

IowaMan 04-03-2008 02:46 PM

I topped off my tank yesterday for $3.07 and today it is $3.19.

sodaklostsoul 04-03-2008 05:01 PM

I got to pay $3.18 2 days ago instead of $3.36. :)

dicksbro 04-05-2008 04:09 AM

$3.38 and $3.39 seem to be the going rates for now. Maybe Monday it'll start to drop again. :wish:

txgrneyes 04-05-2008 04:50 AM

$3.19 is what I paid today. (well last night)...I can still recall when a $20.00 could get me a full tank and a meal on a Saturday night.

Sigh...Oh the good ole days....where have ya gone.
