sodaklostsoul 01-02-2008 10:22 PM

We've been at $3.07 for about a week I think.

ShadowDancer 01-02-2008 11:27 PM

$2.85 her at the murphy at walmart.

dicksbro 01-03-2008 04:06 AM

$2.98 where I filled yesterday. Most of the stations I saw were still over $3. :(

IM1469 01-03-2008 09:24 AM

After the close of the market yesterday and the price of oil settled above S99.00, all the stations around here jumped from $3.09 to 3.19 even though they didn't get a fresh delivery and they were pumping what was in their tanks already paid for at ba much lower rate.

dicksbro 01-05-2008 06:37 AM

Jumped to $3.15 in town. :(

sodaklostsoul 01-05-2008 10:00 AM

I saw $3.18 last night. I have a discount ticket good for 10cents off a gallon, I just might have to use it.

IowaMan 01-16-2008 07:18 PM

I paid $2.99/gal. today in Cedar Rapids after foolishly passing on the $2.93/gal. I could've paid here at home. For some reason the price was cheaper here than in Cedar Rapids this time around. :banghead:

jay-t 01-16-2008 08:22 PM

price dropped here today also went from $2.88 to $2.71!!

rabbit 01-16-2008 08:37 PM

$3.29

PantyFanatic 01-16-2008 08:56 PM

Going rate today was $2.91-$2.97 / Gal. as I drove around today.

It's anything they want, any place they want, any time they want. Has nothing to do with anythign but how greedy they feel at the moment.

Fangtasia 01-16-2008 09:01 PM

Ours is dropping...yay!!

Unleaded is $1.28/litre (places that have E10 are generally a couple of cents cheaper than unleaded)

dicksbro 01-17-2008 04:57 AM

$2.93 seemed to be the low around here yesterday ... all the way up to $3.09 at stations that didn't want to sell gasoline.

Yes E10 is 10% Ethanol which any car made in the last 10 year can run on. We are now seeing E85 in our area, which is 85% ethanol and if you have a FFV(flex fuel vehical) it will run on E85 or E10 or regular gas. And before any says anything about power with E10 or E85 all Indy race cars run on 98% ethanol. They do not run on 100% ethanol because they would then have to pay a liquor tax. We have a station in town that the straight gas is 87 octane and cost 10cents a gal more than the 89 octane which is E10.

Fangtasia 01-17-2008 10:59 PM

I put E10 in my car, and notice absolutely no difference between it and normal unleaded...well except the price lol

I've heard of E85, we havent long had E10...not sure the government would permit higher ethanol content cause they couldn't tax it as high *L*

dicksbro 01-18-2008 05:24 AM

Saw gasoline at $2.85 in Peoria yesterday. The lowest price was around $2.93/gal locally.

IowaMan 01-26-2008 03:19 PM

$2.89/gal. today.

jay-t 01-26-2008 07:23 PM

$2.70 here today

sodaklostsoul 01-26-2008 09:26 PM

Was 2.98 yesterday and 2.90 today.

Scarecrow 01-26-2008 09:28 PM

$2.79 on Thursday and jumped to $2.89 yesterday

dicksbro 01-27-2008 04:54 AM

$2.82 on Friday. I don't even think I went out on Saturday.

Oldfart 01-27-2008 05:19 AM

Near enough $US4.50/gal not to matter.

maddy 01-27-2008 09:02 AM

I saw 2.68 yesterday, I should have stopped.

axe31 02-01-2008 01:47 PM

( In the US, consumers have been near apoplectic as petrol (or gasoline) prices have hit the unheard of heights of $3 a gallon. That's the equivalent of roughly 40p a litre.

In the UK, we're now pretty much used to paying more than £1 a litre. That's the kind of level that would cause a revolution in the States. Here we just cough up and wince and console ourselves that at least it's still cheaper than bottled water.) Quote from msn money uk using this it works at about
$7.50 u.s. a gallon :faint:

dicksbro 02-01-2008 04:36 PM

$2.96/gal is about as cheap as I saw it today. (We did finally get out to help our son get tires for his car ... )

wyndhy 02-01-2008 06:18 PM

...meanwhile exxon recently released profit #s. they made more than 404 billion dollars, that's about $1,287/second for 2007. wow

PantyFanatic 02-01-2008 06:31 PM

Because they CAN!

Now tell me you believe that Exxon posted all the profit they made.:roflmao: I envy your faith if you think that was anything but the very minimum of what they could not bury.

They are sticking it in our ass and they are sticking it up the rest of the world even deeper BECAUSE THEY CAN.

sodaklostsoul 02-04-2008 11:28 PM

I paid $2.95 this morning and I saw later it was $2.93 and $2.92.

DarkDesires 02-05-2008 03:05 AM

They just lowered it from 3.19 to 2.99. Across the street from one station it's 2.98.

dicksbro 02-06-2008 04:38 PM

$2.94/gal posted at one of our local stations today.

sodaklostsoul 02-06-2008 06:01 PM

dicksbro 02-08-2008 06:48 AM

Saw $2.92 here yesterday, too, Soda.

Just went out and topped off at a station for $2.87/gal. Hey, a nickel saved is a nickel earned. :)

sodaklostsoul 02-10-2008 01:49 AM
