I thought about this in a different way... suppose something tragic happened and I lost my family and friends, which by choice I would not choose to do without, but could I or would I go on? I answered yes. So for me family and friends, air, water, nourishment and sleep are a given.

My deep philosophical answers:

1. the ability to learn, I don't ever want to stop learning
2. a certain quality of life, which isn't really definable as yet, but ideally would include running water, flushing toilets and electricity.
3. my sensuality/sexuality, this is a part of who I am, take it away and I would feel empty, foreign to myself.

My fluffy answers:

1. dark chocolate (my guilty pleasure)
2. my computer (my link to the world)
3. entertainment (books/film, my weakness)

family (related or not, it's all the same)
laughter
