Florida :/

TN...Knoxville has recently made masks mandatory in public areas; as has Nashville. Chattanooga is kicking the idea around. The Gov of TN wants to make it statewide. My lil rural town isn't doing much of anything.

Maryland is one of the few state that have been showing a decrease in new cases, but that's a trend. We've had some days in the past few weeks, where the number goes up, as well.

...I will insist, that it is because when the Governor said we could reopen, the order also stated that localities could maintain any of the various aspects of quarantine they deemed necessary. And Prince George's & Montgomery counties, where the number of cases in Maryland was highest, did so. (PG & Mont together account for just under half of all cases in MD.) Now, if we can only get on-demand testing.

Still on the very low side in our county and I think only one case has hit our town. Still doing remarkably well. People are pretty well complying with social distancing and wearing facemasks. Some stores are turning away anyone without a facemask. Still see a few holdouts, but not many.

Isn't it a shame that humanity has forgotten how to be human. :(

Here in MD lately, we've been holding in th emid-100's as far a new cases. Some days, only around 300, up to slightly upwards of 600.

The real measure, though, is number of hospitalizations and deaths, and thta's been a little under 500 mostly consistently. So, some good news, at least.

The number of hospitalizations from this virus is trending upwards again, after seemingly bottoming out at around 400+/day.

Despite what the pricksident says, this ain't over.

No indication that things have become worse in our area. Still very few positive tests have been reported in our town. I was tested before a medical procedure and the results were negative. People have been pretty good about wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

We had 10 people die today. Florida is a hot mess.

In all of Florida, in Leon County, or in Tallahassee?
