There is also an historic Rail Road in Chattanooga. Just south of there is the Chicamuga Civil War Battlefield in Georgia, hope I spelled it right. There is also the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel that is Made from Rail Road passenger Cars.
Other than that how about Calgary, or Edmonton Alberta? |
Yes we are home to the infamous Chattanooga Choo Choo...and very close to the Chickamauga Battlefields lots of history here :)
just checking in so I get updates to this thread so I know where the plan is :)

You can also find in Chattanooga....
The Station House Restaurant (spiffy, converted from the rail station's baggage room, usually with live entertainment and happy birthday serenade from a talented, and usually hot, serving staff) Our fabulous little Warner Park Zoo where you can see a wide variety of animals and ladies might get their skirt nibbled on in the petting zoo. There is also the Bluff View Art District located just a short walk from the Aquarium. There you can visit the beautiful mansion converted into what is now The Hunter Art Museum, browse little shops or snag some coffee at one of the cafes. Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park located just over the line in Rossville Georgia. Or maybe a day trip to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg. We've lots of options to choose from. It just depends on if you want the big city or the little city with a little bit of history. And yes, we do have Starbucks! You won't go without caffeine, great bbq or some(one)thing fun to do. |
Lynchburg is a bit of a drive from Chattanooga I believe. It's literally only a little over an hour from where I live.
Is there someone in the area that'd be willing to look for perhapes hotels that might offer discounts for five or more rooms ... and scope out a nice restaurant for the group to have one special meal together usually the night before we break up and return home?
I don't know about a nice restaurant, but there's usually an Applebee's somewhere. Unless of course Lilith doesn't want a repeat with with mudslides lol.
I always want a mudslide.
Thanks Sis (ChainedHeart is my little sister :) ) for the additional info. I'm going to ask my father-in-law (who happens to work for a hotel) about his hotel or if he knows of any that might could help us in that area....there's another one too, that I just happen to have gone to school with the manager...so I will put some feelers out.
WOW...thats close......I may have to slide on down there!! :)
If I go, I am not telling PF where Aqua and I are shacking up. cock blocker.
Lil, in your case wouldn't it be a clit blocker?
There's two from this house that are planning on going. :boink:
With everything being done this year it looks like next year will be a go. I know the way to Nashville, it should be easy to find my way from there.
It is, I believe I-24 goes straight there.
When you see a train on Track 29, you'll know you're there. :boink:
At least you don't have to try and get on platform 9 3/4.
That is "track 29", "bout a quarter to four". ;)
There's gonna be a certain party in the station
"In satin and lace"
:undies: |
I've gotta get to Pennsylvania Station first?
Talk about the long way round. |
Penn Station is very pretty though. I've been there once.

It is...take the same path as PAGANashville, just keep right to I-24 instead of left to I-40. All the signs are marked "to Chattanooga" if you get confused. My advice, if you pass thru any time in the afternoon, 24/40 will be at a standstill...a better route may be to get off I-65 at Briley Pkwy, towards Opryland Hotel...it connects to 24 just south of the 24/40 split. Traffic might still be slow, but usually not as bad as going thru town. |
Now all you need to do is justify the N in PAGAN.
Awww Scotz, don't put them on Briley. That exit always has an accident because people can't drive. Plus isn't it still under construction?
