It's not actually something new that I learned, it's just yet another reminder... some hoops through which I'm forced to jump make no damn sense and cost too much money.

I learned that all the lovely bursaries and scholarships I was going to apply for aren't available to me because I haven't lived here over a year yet. :(

I put on my glasses and kept thinking I saw something out of the corner on my eye but when I looked nothing was there. Then I took my glasses off to put on a shirt and a Canadian dime was stuck to the magnetict clip for my sun glasses.

I learned that cedar balls counteract the smell of mothballs. I knew cedar was fragrant but always wondered why hardware stores sold those balls.

I've learned I don't recognise PF's magnet.

It's a standard laminated hand mag. Great for clumsy people to find tiny parts they drop under the desk :D ……. If they're ferrous. :(

Actually the handiest one is my little strip mag. Keeps some of the regular clutter up and locatable. And now that I know about the deceit of the funny-money, I use it as my piggy bank.

I just learned loonies and twoneys are magnetic. :)
