I will keep that in mind thereIam. :) I have located the Arc Of The Coverups next to my combination rain gage-smoke detector- anemometer-seismograph-barometer-heat sensor and have added you to the top of my automatic dialer.

Now I’m back to
BUMP
this thread, as it seems once again we have need to be concerned about our family members.

PantyFanatic 03-12-2005 11:31 PM

Thought it was time to BUMP this thread. There may be new members that are unaware of what we have tried to do. The beginning of this thread gives the details of our project. We also used this thread to get the effort under way.

We have a lot of active members that have often stated their location, but have not asked to be included. Because we respect every members privacy, I will ONLY plot Pixies that have requested to be added to our maps.

We will use these with any notice of something that could possible effect any of our Pixie family. These are available for any member that is aware of a happening in their area and wants to post a thread by just asking.

To date I have maps for -

Australia
NotherTerritory
QueensLand

Canada
Ontario

USA
California
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Iowa
Kentucky
Maryland
Michigan
Missouri
North Carolina
New Jersey
New York
Ohio
Pennsylvania
South Dakota
Tennessee
Washington
Wisconson

I KNOW!!

That’s why I keep bumping this damn thing. :bang:

I HAVE to be requested, in PM or post, to add anyone.
As for location; 10 to 20 miles is about as accurate as can be hoped for in the US and in the larger domains of Australia and Canada, the marks can be up to 75 km off. But it will do what we want.

I’m taking that as your request CGT. :) LOL Being at the other end of Tornado Alley, I may get to see you (or parts of your place) in a few months anyway. :yikes: I want to know how SugarSprinkles was smart enough to move to that island. ;)

cowgirltease 03-13-2005 01:07 PM

Parts of my place????? Don't jinx me man.
Okay, Put me on your map. If you don't remember where I live PM me and I'll give it to you. :)
Yeah how the hell did she get on that island????? :teleport:

PantyFanatic 03-13-2005 08:10 PM

ROFLMAO!!!

Actually, PF, sweetie.........I'm not on that island. I'm in the far SW corner of MO....and although my specific area is usually pretty safe from twisters, just a few miles North (about 50 or so) got hit a couple years ago. So I'm not quite as safe as you think I am.

Just for the record, being in that "white zone" doesn't make one twister-free...I'm in that zone, & I can still picture that triple vortex that did so many home makeovers in Nashville back in '98...

just checking in after tornados ripped through Iowa City and the area. It broke my window on my van--sucked it right out and shattered it.

Reports as of right now say there has been sevral injured due to roofs collapsing in large dept stores and two of these stores were less than a quarter mile from where the gas station that i was stuck at. I will let you know when i know more.

This storm is a doosy and Dicksbro, take shelter, it looks like it is coming your way. I wish safety for you and yours!

Fangtasia 04-13-2006 10:27 PM

Thinking of you in the path of this newest threat

scotzoidman 04-13-2006 11:08 PM

Hope that it's not another present to us from the Midwest...TN has been thru some (literally) killer tornado activity in the last 2 weeks, 20+ deaths NE of here last Friday...one twister missed my drummer's house by about 5 miles...

Thanks, Lizz. We did get some pretty powerful storms last night but I think the very worst may have snuck past us just to the north. Glad you're okay and hope the folks to the east of us do alright. I guess there's another chance for strong storms today ... :(

Spring is my favorite season ... except for these storms and the tornados they spawn.

lizzardbits 04-14-2006 12:42 PM

my mother works in the downtown area of Iowa City and when she and my dad went in this morning for work, they said that it took out a lot of the center of town and getting to work was difficult

With all the wreckage and this being a big college town, no one was killed, thank G-d!

there was one fatality in the county southeast from here, the person was in a trailer home.

I'm happy to know you're ok and that the recent twisters didn't affect you, Scotz! I've been wondering how you fared.

Sorry to hear about your van window, Lizzardbits......but so happy it wasn't any worse.

Hope everyone else in the path of these storms comes out unscathed.
