*giggles*

I know you guys all think that there is an easy solution to the right/left thing ... I've spent 40+ years trying any number of gimmicks to remember ... but it is truly a mild form of dyslexia and isn't really curable ... my dyslexia shows up at other times, mainly when I'm very tired ... red and green get mixed up in my head - doesn't sound like a big issue, but when you drive where there are street lights, IT IS! :) ... also some numbers get switched in my head ... 4's for 7's (or vice versa) is my most common one.

OK, I know, that was WAY too much information! LOL

musicman 06-18-2004 06:25 PM

work

darogle 06-18-2004 07:28 PM

I always run right on time. I allow myself just enough time to get somewhere. Apparently, I just can't be early. I'm rarely late, but it gets to be nerve racking to make it in the nick of time.

BTW...I also have to remind myself about right and left quite a bit. I can only wink my left eye, so whenever I have to give directions ect, who ever I'm talking to probably thinks I'm winking at them or that I have some sort of nervous tic. LOL

PF...I love the sign!! LMAO

When writing, posting, messaging, talking, etc., I say too much. I feel--whether true of false--I feel like I constantly blert something out that I wish I could take back two seconds after hitting "submit reply." Case in point, in the thread "Please help me with an avatar," I submitted one too many posts, got all weird again. Perhaps a more relevent example is this post, one I probably ought not submit.

My only defense is that I'm addicted to Pixies. Truth. My wife has been out of town all this week and will be next week also, and I have spent maybe 80% of the time clacking away on this keyboard.

fzzy 06-18-2004 11:43 PM

LarryL - just so you know, you can edit any post you do for up to 2 hours (I think that's the time limit) - and once you hit the edit key - it includes the option of delete. ..... however, I don't think I've seen anything you've written that was over the top, so just keep enjoying the feel of the stroking the keys. :)

rabbit 06-19-2004 08:29 AM

Failing to listen more and talk less.

osuche 06-19-2004 12:02 PM

1. Believe in the inherent goodness of all people

2. Believe others see the world as I do.

Grumble 06-19-2004 12:27 PM

I am too romantic and too trusting. Still it does have rewards as well as pitfalls.

thedog 06-19-2004 02:10 PM

I love to cook but have this nasty habit of using the smoke detector as a cooking timer.

Steph 06-20-2004 01:51 AM

LOLOLOL! I have cleaned the oven in this place 5467 times and the alarm still goes off.

scotzoidman 06-21-2004 09:48 AM

Just wanted to let everybody know, when you catch yourself doing these stupid things, you can dispel any bad karma you've just incurred by repeating this mantra, like I do...but you have to say it out loud & repeat it several times...ready? Say it out loud now...

AWA

TAJIR

KHIYAM

Keep repeating it, you'll feel better, trust me...

Steph 06-21-2004 10:32 AM

LOL Took me a second to catch it!

jay-t 06-21-2004 10:50 AM

I keep thinking that, too, Scotz. :(

Again, being too lazy to take my rubber gloves off and put oven mitts on to take a boiling pot off the stove. Man, that's lazy.

I've got pretty much the same affliction. Seems as if I'm the classic "nice guy" who finishes last when it comes to relationships but I wouldn't ever consider changing myself. When it comes to my relationships, I'm sort of like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football. I've even considered wearing a yellow shirt with a black zig zag on it for first dates just so I can be better prepared.

imaginewithme 07-09-2004 08:19 AM

Get too emotionally attached to people I love.

BIBI 07-09-2004 08:57 AM

smoke

osuche 07-09-2004 09:00 AM

Not say what I am really thinking

BIBI 07-09-2004 09:02 AM

sometimes saying too much as to what I am thinking

osuche 07-09-2004 09:04 AM

Yes, there is certainly a "sweet spot" when it comes to communication ---- and its amount changes for each individual

ROFL I can't stand hot water so I wear gloves doing the dishes.

Would delivering babies in the kitchen be a lucrative thing?

Lilith 07-09-2004 10:45 AM

Midwifery/caterer....I have not tried that yet.

If the water is not scalding me then it's chilly.

Steph 07-09-2004 11:07 AM

WTF is it with mods & body temps? - Sharni is freezing in 15 degree C weather, you like scalding water. I feel like my hands are skeletons when I dip them in hot water.

Hmm, posting things like this can also be stupid things I do on a regular basis.

Pfft, you love them!

Right now I'm feeling quite good & doubt the existence of a stupid thing I've ever done.

PantyFanatic 07-10-2004 06:37 AM

It’s the stupid thing that happened when your folks were feeling quite good that bothers me.

Steph 07-10-2004 09:44 AM

Mankind doesn't keep records for conceptions as far back as yours so we're not sure how you were born. I picture an egg left in the desert sun for some reason.
