fredchabotnick 10-27-2004 10:25 PM

I must've missed this thread earlier. I'm out in the far west suburbs of Chicago. Howdy everybody!

dadaist 10-27-2004 10:30 PM

This thread was deeply buried until I resurrected it last night....
Another 'burbanite, eh?

Actually since it's been a while I can now say I live in DuPage, work in Kane.

dicksbro 10-30-2004 03:30 AM

ILLINOIS

Yep, still here in the the heartland of America! :)

jimmy32 11-22-2004 04:45 PM

I'm from Oak Brook. It's been a long time since I posted but didn't realize how many people on this board were from Illinois.

I've got an old co-worker who likes to "experiment" from time to time. Maybe one of the women here would like to "experiment" with her one of these days.

Just don't spill the beer :)

dicksbro 02-21-2007 06:09 PM

... unless, of course, you target the spill for my mug. :) hick.

ndmore 02-25-2007 01:22 PM

hey dicksbro come to peoria much?

dicksbro 02-26-2007 06:24 AM

Yeah, fairly often. I suspect at least once a week and some weeks several times. Got a daughter and her family in Peoria and a son in Peoria Heights. Matter-of-fact, I was just in Washington a week or two ago for a funeral service at St. Patricks.

One day this coming spring (I hope it's coming), I think IowaMan is going to be heading over this way and we might meet and do lunch. If he does and you'd like, I'll PM you and let you know so maybe you can join us if you'd like.

No date or place yet. Talked about everything from the Burger Barge to the Cracker Barrel ... or ... well ... someplace. :)

ndmore 02-26-2007 07:21 PM

that's sound's good if i'm not back to work yet (i drive a concrete mixer) for united and work has already started picking up hey what do ya think about the new i-74 thru peo.?i hope you like it i had a lot of mud sweat and gear's thur there the last 4 year's lol

dicksbro 02-27-2007 05:21 AM

I-74 looks good. If only they could have widened the Murray-Baker bridge to six lanes and extended six lanes all the way to the juncture with I-155. Oh well, that'd probably double the cost of the project and then some.

Still, I-74 looks good.. A good job that significantly changes the look and feel of going through Peoria.
