dicksbro 05-12-2003 05:05 AM

Just woke and stopped in to check e-mails and Pixies. Still not totally awake. About 9 or so, guess I'll have to do some lawn mowing.

Sharni, glad you had a great weekend!

Sugarsprinkles 05-12-2003 05:59 AM

Woke up early here too. Had a nice day yesterday. Hubby brought me flowers and two of my three sons called and we had a lovely conversation.
When I got up this morning I took chicken out of the freezer to thaw for dinner. And am having a toasted bagel w/butter as I play the games here.

Steph 05-12-2003 11:07 AM

I am avoiding doing research on my article and writing e-mails instead. I promised I would only watch the tape of Survivor until I saw who won but I'm about to go back to the living room and watch the reunion. Where is my motivation?

dicksbro 05-13-2003 05:00 AM

Got up at about 3AM when I realized my wife had gotten up. She's got a touch of a cold and had gone out to the living room to sit up in the recliner for a while. Logged onto the internet, checked e-mails ... then on to Pixies. Been here ever since playing smut games with Sharni. She is so good at those.

Anyway, that brings me to 5AM.

Steph 05-13-2003 08:43 AM

Woke up (again) to the cat attacking the dog. Also, the phone rang and I knew it was my editor. He likes what I have so far and . . . since I'm up so bloody early (for me, an evening shift worker), I'm going to hang out in Smut Games for a while.

PantyFanatic 05-13-2003 08:55 AM

Steph- I got this e-mail by mistake. It's for you. :)

Ø How to bathe the cat:
> 1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.
>
> 2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet
> water and put both lids up.
>
> 3. Pick up the cat and soothe him and tell him how
> much you love him while you carry him towards the
> bathroom.
>
> 4. VERY IMPORTANT - Quickly check to make sure the
> cat is bigger in circumference than the toilet drain.
>
> 5. In one quick movement put the cat in the toilet
> and close both of the lids in one fluid motion.
> You may need to stand on the lid so he cannot
> escape. The cat will self agitate with his body
> movement and make ample suds. Never mind the noises
> that come from the toilet as the cat is actually
> enjoying this.
>
> 6. After the cat has self agitated for about five
> minutes flush the toilet three or four times.
> This provides a "Power-wash" and "rinse" which I have
> found to be quite effective.
>
> 7. Have someone open the door to the outside, and
> ensure that there are no people between the toilet
> and the direct path to the outside door.
>
> 8. Stand behind the toilet as far away as you can,
> and quickly lift both lids at the same time.
>
> 9. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet,
> and run outside where he will dry himself.
>
> Sincerely and good luck
>
>
> Signed:
> The dog.

Steph 05-13-2003 09:13 AM

Off to wash the cat! :)

dm383 05-14-2003 03:20 AM

Got a teensy bit drunk last night..... didn't go (back!!) to bed til after 2a.m. .... got woken up by Celticangel at 5:30, as she was getting ready for work :( ..... I love her though, so I didn't mind TOO much! Got a nice kiss/hug out of it anyway!! :D

Read through my post to the "Break the Mold" thread.... did I REALLY share that?!?! Oh dear.......

now going to go get ready to go for a LONG run on my bike.... just to get rid of the cobwebs in my head!!!

dicksbro 05-14-2003 03:26 AM

Just posting a bit until the fitness center opens at 5AM. Then, off to get in shap. That's where everything that settled to the middle gets encouraged to move up a bit. :)

Then home to my honey and later today, off to lunch and a bit of shopping at a new mall in Peoria we've never been to.

Sharni 05-14-2003 03:36 AM

Still coming off the high from the weekend.....looking at pictures through the day and re-living memories...

Again.....Roll on 2005....I cant wait for the next one :D

dicksbro 05-15-2003 09:09 AM

A little time with my wife, breakfast with a friend, email checks, Pixies ... it just doesn't get much better than this.

Steph 05-15-2003 10:30 AM

Up early to write my article . . . deadline nearing and none of my sources have returned my calls or e-mails. Am writing what I can without them but it's getting down to crunch time. As usual, had to ward off attacks from the wild kitty.

dm383 05-16-2003 05:11 PM

Went back to work today, after two days off.... had a good run on my bike wednesday, got it serviced yesterday (thursday!), ready for our trip to the Isle of Man.

Went to the funeral of a patient of mine who was found dead in his home last week; a lovely guy, but suffered from Bi-polar disorder. Still not sure how he died... post-mortem was inconclusive. All his five kids were there.... how does a 5 year old cope? I found it difficult, and I'd only known him for 18 months!

Can't be with my Love tonight........ makes things harder to cope with..

Can't wait to see her tomorrow!

LixyChick 05-16-2003 10:48 PM

16 May, 2003...Friday

Just found this thread and nearly pee'd my pants on post about cat bathing! Wondering if I should change my wooden toilet seat to porcelin (so cat claw marks won't ruin it) before I bathe Rocky.

Anyway......rose at 7:30ish this morning cause I am off work due to cut back to 32 hours. Squeezed out of blankets as cat gave me "the look". Got up and cat jumped from bed. Went downstairs. Got a cup of (cold) coffee.......damn F&*$in coffee maker....shutting off after two hours...my ass! Flicked the button to turn the heat element on again. Ran the hot water in the sink and dumped some cold coffee and "freshened" up my cup. Turned on TV and watched an infomercial while I drank my delicious first cup. Felt the unexplained need to buy a pilates machine. Fought the feeling and got up and went to get another....ahhhhhhh......hot (1/2 cup) coffee......to which I added cold water to cool it down. Yep! That's better!

Stripped in the living room and threw my jammies down the basement steps (knowing I'll be back inna few to sort laundry). Started the shower and cat came in to remind me that this isn't the procedure. Shut water off and went to feed cat. Came back to bathroom and started shower again. Showered...wishing I could feel this good forever. Got out and toweled off and went to open back door for cat. Thought to self......when is that fucker getting a job so I can lounge around like him?

Upstairs...made the bed and got some clothes. Looked in mirror and cringed.........(we women do that from time to time)........dressed and went downstairs aqain.....and then down to basement to sort laundry. Started a load and cleaned poop from litter box. Swept up litter from every nook and cranny of basement. Thought to self...If aliens are watching us, they don't have to ask who the leader of this planet is! Took poop (in baggie) up to bathroom to flush. Let cat back in.

Sorted bills and placed all "junk mail" in envelopes to go back to respective senders (name withheld). Got on line to make sure I actually had money in the bank (since I still have so many checks). Did bills......ignored a call from sis in-between cause she hates to talk when I am doing bills. Called sis back to gripe about doing bills. Misery loves company...she bitched back at me.

Got on Pixies and ran around the threads posting like a nut. Went like this the rest of the day.....Pixies, laundry, Pixies, laundry, Pixies, laundry...........supper.......and Pixies again. Stayed in tonight cause hubby loaded 1200 holes today and was exhausted. KABOOM!

dicksbro 05-17-2003 03:25 AM

Little after 3AM ... used the rest room; checked e-mails; logged onto Pixies and here I am. Not real exciting, but it's only 3:30 now. :)

Steph 05-17-2003 12:35 PM

Wonders if dicksbro ever sleeps!

It's my Friday and I don't want to go to work. I had a really busy week of working on an article in the day and then working evening shifts at the job that pays the bills. It would have been great not to have to work tonight and just take it easy. Alas, that's not going to happen. :(

dicksbro 05-20-2003 07:11 AM

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Lilith 05-20-2003 07:58 AM

Woke up this morning when my little guy whipered in my ear "wakie, wakie, wakie!" Slurped coffee while chatting with Kim in the chatroom til some of the other morning lovies showed up too. Answered some mail and changed my av. So far, so good. Gonna catch a nice perv;) and then clean my house like a mad woman....my mother is coming for the weekend:spin:

Steph 05-20-2003 10:36 AM

I have no idea where the weekend went! I also have to clean like a mad woman - three sets of guests are set to arrive next week and Tyler's too busy to help much.

Cleaning and getting ready for work with a healthy dose of perving is on my schedule before work today.

dicksbro 05-25-2003 05:59 AM

Good morning all. Been up about 2-hours with most of the time here at Pixies checking what all happened since I went to bed last night. Made my morning pass through the smut games. Added a few to our million count. You know, normal daily stuff.

Going to be a beautiful day here. Hope to plant some more flowers. Got a bunch coming up in front. Will take some pictures if they ever bloom. (Boy things go slow when you watch.)

Steph 05-25-2003 10:50 AM

Our landlord hires a gardener do to the front and back yard. Tulips a-plenty to tiptoe through.

Still cleaning while I perv. I'm waiting for a phone call from a friend and he's either coming over and then we're going out or we're just going out to drink like good Newfoundlanders.

dicksbro 05-26-2003 03:55 AM

4AM ... been on Pixies about an hour. Going to drive down to Decatur, Illinois this morning (70 miles) to visit with my wife's mom. Then we'll stop and visit her dad's grave in Decatur and drive over to Springfield, Illinois to visit my parents gravesite. They're in a national cemetary called, "Camp Butler." Beaufiul place.

Then home again. Hope the day will be great for all of you!

Steph 05-27-2003 01:12 AM

Just got back from visiting my cousin at his hotel room. His three-month-old is a chubster and the 2.5-year-old is too smart for his own good! :) :)

All is good.

More yesterday than this morning (which has been pretty normal).

Went down to Decatur, Illinois yesterday to place flowers at the burial site of my wife's father; then to a nursing home to spend time with her mom who is 87. Visited with one of her brothers and sisters before leaving to go over to Springfield, Illinois where we placed flowers at the burial site of my mom and dad at Camp Butler National Cemetary. Camp Butler is one of the nations original 14 national cemetaries established by Abraham Lincoln on the site of a Civil War army post. More than 30,000 now buried there. After that we stopped at a church called St. Francis of Assisi. It's the home for Franciscan Nuns and is a beautiful church. I've attached a photo give you some idea how it looks.

Anyway, had a wonderful day, beautiful weather, and a nice drive with just the two of us.

Steph 05-30-2003 09:59 PM

Admired the pic of the beautiful church before logging off after a long day.

The zoo was a major event with long times in transit . . . I am now questioning my desire for children. You're filled with love when you have them but those terrible twos are exhausting!

dicksbro 05-31-2003 04:48 AM

Glad you enjoyed the picture, Steph. It is very beautiful.

Anyway, seemed like everytime I logged on yesterday, I had to get back off for one reason or another, so when i woke up early today, I thought I'd get to Pixies and play the games early. So, here I am at just before 5AM.

Steph 06-04-2003 12:50 PM

Finally got my credit card straightened out. Now I'm doing housework and getting ready for work on this cloudy day. May wasn't great weather wise and I fear June will be equally bad.

dicksbro 06-04-2003 01:00 PM

So far today I've basically laid around trying to shake a cold I've caught from somewhere. Then we had a power outage that dropped me off the computer for 2-3 hours. First one of those we've had in a long time and not sure why. Oh well, back on now as you can guess from my being here.

We've got an 8th grade gradulation to go to this evening for our grandson. Kind of chilly today so I may end up wearing a suit/sport coat.

Steph 06-22-2003 11:30 AM

I hope dicksbro gets time to post in the Pixies Journal about his 40th anniversary :)

We're hanging out with my sis today, taking her to Toronto Island for a picnic. Her ex-fiance recently started seeing someone and I think she thought they were getting back together . . . kinda sucks.

I'm far behind on the article I'm writing but it's supposed to be a beautiful, beautiful day so I'll push that article to the back of my mind for now.

dicksbro 06-24-2003 04:13 PM

Here I am Steph.

Our 40th anniversary was absolutely terrific. In the morning our oldest daughter and her family came over and went with us to church. We were ushers (my wife and I) and after the homily, we renewed our wedding vows. It was really neat because just by coincidence, the church was decorated with lots fo flowers so it really helped set the mood.

After church, we went to lunch with our daughter and her husband and had a thoroughly good time visiting. On the way home we drove through the areas damaged by the tornado some weeks ago (they'd never seen it). Big quarter to half-million dollar homes broken like so many toothpicks not to mention the apartments and everything else that got damaged.

After they dropped us off, we had to get ready to go into Peoria for another dinner that evening, this time with some thirty or forty other couples. Wasn't all for us, but we were toasted which was nice.

Tomorrow we head over to our daughter's in Indianapolis where we'll spend a couple of days with her, her husband, and our granddaughter; then on to Cincinnati to spend some more time with our third daughter and her husband.

Our daughter in Cincinnati has reserved for us a night at a local inn so we can have some private time. Should be wonderful. Then back to their house for another day.

Plan a stop in Springfield, Illinois as we head home this weekend. Turning this anniversary into something of a week long celebration.

Yippee. Now we start the second half of our married life. :D :D

Oz's Entry
12:40 am.
June 25, 2003
(im going to make an entry about yesterday since today has only been going on for 40 minutes)

I took a shower at 2:30am and enjoyed it until the hot water ran out :(. i went to bed around 3 and woke up at 9:30 when my friend dropped by to take me into town. we went to see one of his younger friends in highschool and talked with her for a while. then went to pick up one of our other friends and chilled at the one friend who woke me up at the ungodly hour of 9:30's girlfriend's house. (confusing, no?)

stayed there until 10:00pm and then came back and chilled in the my hottub with a friend and talked about stuff. then she went home and i got on pixies and have been posting like mad because i havent gotten to get on in while.

Steph 06-25-2003 01:44 AM

I'm so glad dicksbro is spending a week celebrating the first half of his married life :) It sounds wonderful!!!

I am sweating in my second-floor apartment in Toronto. Went to karaoke after work and decided to sing on the spur of the moment. Realized I was too nervous (and sober) to sing on key so changed "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" to "Every Little Thing SARS does is magic" so the crowd loved the class clown :)

And so goes my Monday (cuz Tuesday is my Monday).

dicksbro 06-25-2003 05:44 AM

Just got up a little bit ago. While playing games, also getting ready to leave for our daughter's. Most everything packed so we're probably doing better than normal.

Just wanted to get some last minute pixiating (is that a word?) in before we go. :D

Summer 06-25-2003 09:15 AM

Wednesday, June 25 10:09 AM

Woke up this morning at 9:00 am. Haven't done that in a while. I must be stressed. Usually I sleep until about 11:00. Oh well. I start stretching as my little girl climbs in the bed with me. She is such a lovey dovey in the morning. We snuggled and giggled for about half an hour. As I got out of bed I hear the dreaded words out of my daughter's mouth as she is digging through her closet. "I have nothing to wear!!" Man I hate it when the day start off on that note. She can complain and bitch and moan and groan for HOURS on that subject and she is only 5. Ugh! Sometimes I wish that I dressed her in the middle of the night so she wouldn't think about getting dressed. Trying to get going this morning I figured I would check my email and then get off the computer for the rest of the day. If only! Brrrrrrring, damn instant messages. 'hey hi how are you this morning we aren't sure if the bank is going to accept our offer maybe you can drive down check out the building alone blah blah blah'. When will it ever end. So as my instant messenger keeps giving me more and more and more info I log into Pixies. Checking out new posts always seems to be a joy for me. And ....... what is this *Pixies Journal* hot damn! So I sit back and type away. TY TY TY! Well, I think my instant messages are over so I am off the computer for today. I must finish working on getting our house ready to sale.

Steph 06-25-2003 11:26 AM

Tyler's booking our tickets for the flight to Newfoundland. It's going to cost almost $1,000. Crazy! I told him to book earlier but noooooooooo, did he listen?

Have I mentioned the heat a zillion times yet? It's supposed to get up to 111 F with the humidex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why must I work? I want to go to the beach! :)

dicksbro 06-25-2003 02:26 PM

Just arrived at our daughter's house in Indianapolis and while my wife and her chat, decided to catch up on Pixies. It's nice having a high-speed connection. Didn't know posting could be so much fun. :D

Steph 06-26-2003 12:51 AM

Sits in shock. DB has managed all those posts without high-speed? High-speed rules, DB!

It's frigging hot here so my brain isn't working well. Maybe that's why I enjoy the heat, it's like a drug. Who can think when it's 110F?

Ozling 06-26-2003 01:03 AM

yes, high speed is nice. though until i can get my roadrunner working im forced to work with this 56k modem that runs at almost a fourth it's potential. tis horrible.

Urlryn 06-26-2003 01:19 AM

08.00 Alarm rings

dm383 06-26-2003 04:20 AM
