I'm very lucky my Daughter is still here .She was in a terrable car wreck on June 29TH (I guess I'll never forget that date) She was in the Car with her two best friends, the driver was going to fast and lost control.......he hit two trees and wrapped his car around a thrid tree.......My beautiful Daughter was the only survivor.........she excaped with both arms broken and a nice bump on the head............she's doing great now....The Lord was with her. I didn't mean to cry on any sholders......... but, it really hits home sometimes |
Slow Ride---Good News about your daughter.I know that it
sounds"Macho"but I have always believed that when it's your turn to buy it you will.It wasn't your daughters turn yet.(Thank God)Example:When racing,I have seen guys crash at over 100mph & walk away.I have done so myself!I have also seen people get killed at 25mph. Irish |
Thank You Irish..................I think the Good Lord has plans for her

There's only one thing worse than having kids.
Not having kids. 2 - einstein byron, and conan. |
I don't have any kids that I know of.....
|
I've had two, "that I know of" (different mothers)....... my first would be 22 now, but she died at age 17..... my youngest was 9 on Halloween; she's the apple of my eye, and even though I tend to be a bit over-protective, she's doing OK!.... I love her to little bits!!!
:D DM |
This is a fantastic thread!!!! My turn on the soap box????
When your kids are born it is the most unbelievably wonderful miracle in the world !!! And you of course want them to be the smartest, prettiest, most talented, etc. so you start telling everyone they are. Perhaps they'll be all you say they are but if not they are still the most wonderful part of your life --- ever!!! btw -- I have 2 fantastic daughters: ages 21 and 16 1/2 years old (for a tiny bit of bragging...... both beautiful girls and multi-talented - the oldest is on Dean's list in college with A's & high B's -- youngest is in National Honor Society in High School with straight A's) |
I have two girls one 7, the other six,I also have twin boys they are 3,I also have a three month old boy .And that was all I wanted or needed.

Couldn't sleep tonight with so much happening lately, so decided I would pop in for a peak at some threads. This one happens to be a great one.
My precious angel will be 3 on March 1st. He is my miracle baby, I say this because he was born almost 8 weeks premature with 3 holes in his heart. Not to mention that they found out I had an infection that could have killed him if he had contracted it. My son has a guardian angel....my grandmother. He was born on her birthday just 3 short weeks after we lost her. His birthmark was an angel's kiss (a small red mark between the eyes). On my way to the hospital, she spoke to me and told me that all was going to be ok...I know some will think this crazy, and that's fine, but I believe. We did not find out about the holes in his heart until after he was released from the hospital and they had us see a pediatric cardiologist because he had a murmur. We have been blessed in that the holes are shrinking and he has not had to have surgery. The doctors are optimistic that he will outgrow them, if not in entirety at least to the point that they aren't a problem. I'm sorry to go on like this but I guess what I'm trying to say is even the smallest, weakest can turn out to be amazing beyond belief. He has amazed the doctors and changed my life! |
We have 4 kids. (20, 16, 15, and 8). All with different personalities and actions. Lots of variences and with the 2 in the middle end up taking a lot of Tylenol and Tums.
Love the kids, but can't wait til they grow up and get married so we can spoil grandkids and give them back to their parents. Intend to buy really annoying toys the need lots of batteries (we will supply) in order to make sure that they work ALL THE TIME. Truthfully, wouldn't know what to do without them. They each bring something into our lives that let us learn more and experience more than we thought we ever would. Definition of Unconditional Love? Look into the youngest eyes .............. she isn't a teenager yet and hasnt' been spoiled by her peers....... LOL! |
I have two...wait make that four...
My son will be 3 in February My daughter will be 2 in July My husband will be 27 in February My cat will be 3 in June By far...the most upkeep would be child number 3...hubby |

*bump, just 'cause it's a feel-good thread* :)
Like our illustrious moderator, I have two in my arms, a boy who's six and a girl who's four, and one in my heart. |
