Just read this thread now. Good poem! I write poetry/stories like that too. It's so hard to find places that embraces great hardcore. We tend to be listed as "Alternative". But recently, I am finding those sites! :D |
loreli,
I am looking for poetry that is a little more softcore. Although these are good poems, I am using my website as sort of an advertisement so that I can build webpages for ppl to make extra cash. I have younger people looking at the site and don't feel that poetry like this would be suitable for what I'm doing on my site. Thank you for replying to my request though. |
I didn't reply to you personally. You didn't read my post right. I just reiterated Twixtddreemz's poem for encouragement, and to others who love and really appreciate alternative art.
For the Internet to be so huge, it is hard to find real acceptance of our writings. I find most people online are pretty middle-of-the-road in taste. |
How's this?
Not sure if this is what you're looking for. Written for the girl of my dreams right after I had met her.
Winter Sonnet The winter’s chill has settled in and chased me ‘tween the covers, Still warm from the flame of your words, the tickle of your laugh, This luscious vision you have planted in my mind. Next my thoughts Drift toward you, where you are at this moment, and what you’re doing. As I picture you naked beneath your sheets, your warm body pink and soft, The snow and ice melt and it is summer again, if only in my mind. Sleep comes slowly thankfully for I don’t want to let go of you just yet Preferring to keep these cozy tender thoughts of you alive and breathing. Do you feel this throbbing inside as I do, the tremble and tingle, the shudder and shake? Do you catch yourself at odd moments of the day thinking of this new person Just met, who comes to mind when you least expect it? It’s not like there are Great expectations or intimations of destiny, just a warm, rolling affection. Thoughts of the future escape me this night as I lay naked thinking of you, For this moment and my reborn feelings of desire are all that remain true. |
Another season, another reason ...
Here's another recent one.
Spring Moon A full spring moon tonight, and like a fool, a lunatic, I search for the path that will lead me straight to you. Unexpectedly gorgeous was this first real day of spring, A new season, filled with fresh hope and a new love with you. The fragrant hyacinths blooming and the tulips and daffodils With their lush scent set me dreaming tonight. I pause To look up at the moon and stars so bright and twinkling tonight; The moon as bright as my love for you, its blue and gray shadows Are like the loneliness when we're apart; a rare celestial array of Aligning planets forms a stairway to the moon; the blanket of stars A comforting background. I wonder how you are feeling And patiently wait for you to come to me tenderly. And when I'm finished counting stars tonight and fall into bed I'll dream about you, your body naked and close to mine, Our arms about each other, our legs intertwined, our breath Washing each other's cheek, and yes, my kisses touching Every part of you they can reach. How I long for the taste of you Tonight, your moist lips and your supple body! How I wish you could feel My heart beat so strongly with the feelings I hold for you! How I Yearn to tell you of this intense desire for you burning deeply in me! How I want to run away tonight, just the two of us, and fall in love, With only this full spring moon and the stars to follow! |
Last one for now ...
Summer Sun, Summer Moon
I’ve walked this moonlit highway a thousand miles tonight Looking for the path that will lead me to your heart. From sun rise to set you’ve haunted me, Your smile and laugh and girlish giggle, That smooth touch of yours on my most tender parts, The soft beauty that melts me down completely, That strong stance when you’re serious about something, That heavy-lidded look of deep desire when I tell you of my love. We’ve laid side by side in the sun, toasting and roasting our bodies, Letting our emotions catch fire as we make love In the mix of broad daylight and deep shadows. And when the moon came out tonight, it only heats us up the more, Escalating my thoughts and desires, accelerating our passion, Driving me out while you sleep into the chill night to call out to the moon Your name and my love for you! We have these hours, these days alone, And tomorrow holds no promise of another day. Take me in your arms tonight, feel my tears and my love, Let me be the man you desire, the one you always need, That one precious thing without which you cannot live! For when these days are done and the summer sun and moon Have moved on to fall, and the blaze of summer has been chilled by the frost, Will you still need me for these simple, precious things That only I can bring to you: my self, my heart, my love? |
An acrostic...
I hope you don't mind? :)
Stars for stepping stones Under a moonbeam chandelier Nightly cries of passion Fading into white Lovers lament going separate ways Obsidian dreams of a hero Whose whispers, softly exhaled Elusive and forfeit, Release the promises made of love Sunshine fades. |

Wow, a sudden outburst of poetry. Love this guys.
Miltone- Excellent poems my friend. Loved them. But, while I would use these to charm the panties off of a woman, I don't think that the sexual content is what I'm looking for on my site. I'm considering making another page just for poems of this sort. I'll let you know as soon as I can get the time to do it, and your poems will definately be there. Maid- While totally confusing at first glance, that is deep. I read it again to get the context of everything. Very good. I will post this one as soon as I get a chance. Wisper- I know that poems aren't always supposed to rhyme, but my interpretation of the poem for your friends is that it is more like an appreciation speech. We all have different styles, if this is yours, it's cool by me. The untitled poem seemed kind of non-poetic also. It seemed more like an encouragement speech for someone who just broke up with a signifigant other. It started excellently, then kinda fades at the end into more of a rant than a poem. Hope that's not offending, just a difference in taste. |
