Bunny girl...

I gotta go with masturbation on this one. Pull out the vibrator, treat yourself to a quickie, relax for a moment...then tell me the blood isn't flowing!

I'm a firm believer in the power of stress relieving masturbation!!!

Have a good walk to the shop and have some retail therapy (well it works for women) and come home and get laid or masturbate and have a good nights sleep. You will wake up restored and able to function.

Too bad I live in Australia cos I would volunteer to give you a total massage. that is very soothing and relaxing

bunny_girl 03-08-2002 07:43 AM

Unfortunately for me theres a distinct lack of nice, single, straight men at the moment so getting laid isn't looking likely :(
But I'm feeling a little bit better and a lot more motivated today. Went out last night with a friend I hadnt seen for ages and had a really nice time so hopefully I'm gonna get quite a bit done today!

For those of you that have to take tests. This may be;an old wifes
tale.My father told me;years ago;to take an asprin;about an hour
before the test.He said that it makes your brain more active.Also;
always go with your first awnser.9 times out of 10 it will be right.
I have been tested as having a very high reading comprehension!
I have been told that;if left to my own devices;that I will read a
problem into a question;and that I should go with the first awnser
that pops into my mind.Hope this helps someone! Irish
P.S.I have done much better on tests;just relaxing;and not worry
ing about the results or content.

this is interesting because i take an aspirin/ibiprofin tablet before my serious workouts and it helps......has something to do withmaking the blood pump better in your body, i think, maybe nurse traci can comment on this........???

Irish 03-08-2002 01:07 PM

mindboxer505---I would be interested in hearing about that also!
I workout almost daily and altho I subscribe to Muscle&Fitness and Flex and have read &studied many other articles on bodybuilding and working out;I have never heard of asprin/ibuprofen used for that purpose.I work a different body part each day.Chest,Back,Arms,Legs,abdomen,shoulders,etc.
Irish
P.S.I have heard of using Protein,L-Glutamine,Etc.What works for some;doesn't necessarily work for another!

mindboxer505 03-08-2002 01:43 PM

i use it for my first degree testing two aspirin and an energy drink.my testing consisted of a form/kata, 2 board breaks and to free spar with 3 people one higher rank, one even and one below.......did fine until the higher rank caught me with a crescent kick that caught me just over the eye and ripped a 2''gash in my head..din't feel a thing and wanted to keep going...... i think the aspirin/energy drink/adreniline rush killed the pain cause i never felt any pain the whole time and even after .. no pain...
after that i experimented and it seems i feel better and can last longer sparring when i take a dose of aspirin.......may just be a psycological thing..i don't know....... it seems to help me.......

mindboxer505---I can't remember;without looking it up.I think that
there were different uses for asprin or ibuprofen.I think that ibuprofen was for aches&muscle soreness and asprin was for
pain(headaches, etc)but I'm not sure.Energy drinks are like anything when you're diabetic. You have to read the contents.
I used to have a MRPwith skim milk at breakfast time and a protein shake at bedtime.A dietician told me that I was a good
bet for dialisis because of;my age, current diabetes and high blood
pressure. She told me to use SlimFast instead of plain protein. My
father-in-law had daily dialisis treatments and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy! Irish

Asprin is also used as a blood thinner for heart patients

mindboxer505 03-08-2002 06:11 PM

Just as i thought...........all in my head.......

scotzoidman 03-08-2002 11:07 PM

Just recently heard, if you take aspirin for heart therepy, ibuprofen will cancel out the positive effects... so I just take Exedrin-type for all my aches & pains now...

legend 03-09-2002 11:51 PM

aspirin and ibuprofen are both NSAIDs - Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs

DO NOT TAKE EITHER OF THESE IF YOU ARE ASTHMATIC. DO NOT TAKE IBUPROFEN IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN AND DO NOT TAKE THE TWO IN COMBINATION

The effects of Aspirin and vitamin-c will cancel each other out, so there is no point in taking both when your sick.

Irish & mindboxer505 - I would tend to argue with taking any pain relieving medication when your not sick....just a thought

For information on these see:

to get back to the original topic - if you've got a test coming up, try to relax. It's probably the hardest thing to do in the situation, but it's also the best.

AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. EVERYTHING WILL BE OK

Good Luck! :)

mindboxer505 03-10-2002 12:18 AM

Like I said....all in my head...LOL!!!!
3RD testing won't come up until four years from now so no worries.....have plenty of time....
back to subject of stress relief though it seem that everybody has their own method of relieving stress, so all I can suggest is really to experiment with the different suggestions and see what works best......meditation, hard workout, sex, sex, sex, oh I said that already... or yoga/pilates, calming music.......many suggestions out there for you to give a shot........good luck....

Irish 03-10-2002 12:34 AM

For stress relief;my wife has a few C.D.s of sounds like a bubbling
brook, etc. She sent away to get them but I don't know where and
she is sleeping now! Irish
