<--- Has a guy who is not circumsized and has no objections...... although he does seem to take longer to cum sometimes I enjoy this trend :p
|
ironic that this was bumped: with a boy on the way in less than three weeks we are struggling with this issue right now. i just can't seem to justify the surgery. at first i thought...we should do it. it's cleaner and BIGbad is cut so... like father; like son. but on second thoughts...it's painful (they don't use any anestesia (sp?)) and medically unnecessary. how can we do that to our little boy? i kinda feel like if it's something he wants later, he can make that decision himself and go for it.

Wyndhy---If this helps,I had(medical neccessity)to have it done,in my older years!There is actually a common rash,that occurs,if you haven't had it done.
When I told,my Dr.,he knew what it was before he saw it.I told him-There is probably,no one alive, that is cleaner, then I.He said-That has nothing to do with it,it is a common ocurance. It doesn't effect everyone, but at birth,is alot better than dealing with possible erections, later on in life.Especially,if you are used to orgasming,at least, once a day, since your teens.I couldn't,have it done,at birth, because of clotting problems, but barring that,I,personally, would have it done at birth. Irish P.S. My $.02. :jester: |

If it's of any use, over here in England it's pretty much common practice not to have it done, unless for religious reasons, and I don't see a great number of men having it done in adulthood, so I really don't think it's necessary in most cases on the grounds of health. I have to say, personally I find it a little freaky that we choose to mess with nature like this. But then again I don't believe in piercing babies' ears either, so perhaps I'm a bit of a puritan about things like this. |
Pesonally I am totally against circumcision if not medically indicated. In my time as a medical service technician I witnessed 2 procedures and it is not pretty. A week old baby cannot be given anaesthetics and they suffer through the procedure. It is not just snip snip and slip it off, the foreskin is adhered to the glans (head) and if the foreskin is left intact, remains so for some years.
So in addition to the skin being cut the foreskin is forcibly removed from its adhesion. You have to witness this being done and hear the distress of the infant to understand how barbaric this is. What about choice? A baby has no say if he wants to keep his own foreskin, Why force this decision on him. Allow him to keep it and decide for himself later in life when he is capable of making that decision. Just have a look at this site http://www.circumstitions.com/ with the link to actual pictures of penises mutilated by bad circumcisions and see whether they are more healthy than the intact ones. I think the most noticeable difference even in well performed procedures is what happens to the glans that is not covered by the foreskin that nature provided. The glans of an intact man is smooth and sleek, the cirmumcised penis has a look of unmoisturised skin, flakey looking and dry. Well it is unmoisturised isn't it. The procedure is not necessary unless there is a medical condition that requires it. It is far riskier to do a procedure that is not warranted than to not do it. There are more penile injuries caused through circumcision than accidents or disease. To parents thinking of doing this to their boy in his infancy, do not do it, if it wasn't meant to be there we would not be born with it. Grumble steps down from the soap box LOL, I am very passionate about this topic. |
Grumble---I'm,very,passionate,about it also.I hate to see anyone go thru the
procedure, that I did,in their later years.Altho,I know that, you haven't been peaking,I don't have any "Dry,Flakey, skin.I have been both ways & my wife, has had me both ways.Neither of us,notices any difference in feeling or sensitivity. It is,strictly,an individual thing, just as some people, are allergic to a medicine & others are not bothered by it.Granted,my case, isn't like everyone elses, but if I had to do it over,if medically possible,I would have it done at birth! Irish P.S.just my opinion, thru experience! |
loulabelle- i know exactly what you mean about the piercings. i was in an accessory store with my daughter a few years ago and the sales woman kept harping on me to get her ears pierced, how much cuter she'd look and how it "only hurts her for a second" as if i would inflict a nano-second of unnecessary pain on my child. i had to walk out before i popped her one in the face, or ripped the earrings right out of her ears.
grumble- thanks for the link. i tried to watch a circumcision on the web and got through about 2 seconds and it wasn't even my kid i was watching. there is no way i could do it. irish- i totally understand where you're coming from but.. we couldn't do it on a maybe. it would be like saying breast cancer runs in my family so i might as well get the mastectomy now before i get cancer later. |
I've had both uncircumcised and circumcised penises and performed oral sex on both. There is a slight difference in taste, not necessarily bad, but it's definately noticeable. Uncut penises turn me on, but then again...So do cut ones lol...I can say no preference I guess.
BTW--If I EVER have a baby (which I hope I DON'T), and it's boy, he will NOT be circumcised at birth. It is not my place as his mother to decide if he wants his foreskin or not, that is something I feel very passionate about, now. If he wants it done at a later age, then fine. |
Well, I have to say that the only reasons that I could see to circumcise a male today are 1. sometimes the foreskin is too tight to be pulled back, which can be painful- in that case, it's a medical thing. 2. some studies have shown that having a foreskin slightly increases a man's susceptibility to urinary tract infections. Other than that, I probably wouldn't push the issue. One way or another, don't feel mutilated-- all men are beautiful, and as long as the sex is still good, live it up with or without that tiny little flap of skin.

Yes, I am. I was circumcised as an infant, so I have no way to compare, but my sex life is great, and the sensations are wonderful. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Quote:
You can't change the fact that you have been circumcised. When I was a boy, and I first discovered that i had been circumcised, I felt a little disappointed, as though I might be missing something. But, I knew that I couldn't change the fact that it had happened, so I didn't let it go to my head. If you're not enjoying sex as much as you think you should, is it possible something else is preventing you from enjoying it to the fullest? And yes, female circumcision is a totally barbaric practice. I hear it is practiced by Islamic cultures, can anybody confirm or deny that? |
I'll deny it with the knowledge I have:
Islam has no linkage to female circumsion. It's not mentioned in the Koran. Its origin seems to be from sub-Saharan Africa. |
I Am circumcised and have been interested in what if anythign I am missing. One thing that I often wonder is how much skin is left on other guys who have also been on the choping block, I have enough to be able to pull the skin over the tip withought tugging hard while erect and I think that should be plenty... My ex girlfriend of two years who cheated on me with a guy who was never cut said that she didn't like my taste and that he was cleaner and I was like ... "what the hell? He's so lazy I know he dosent clean it because I know he dosent shower every day" where-as I wash head to toe every day and pay special attention to that area since I knew she didn't like it ( which ultimately led to me having her stop since its just no good if your partner Just isnt into it, so I was the only one who would do anything till we broke up).
Cliffs notes: How far over the head can the normaly circumcised man pull what skin is left? For me I can just cover the head and maybe a little more. |
well....
I'm sorry but guys with uncircumsized penises can wash all they want but it smells soooooooooo bad when u go down on then :(

I'm not circumcised, like the vast majority of men the world-over. I've never had any complaints at all about taste or cleanliness; in fact, most of the women I've been with find penetration more comfortable, and seem to have great fun sliding the foreskin back and forth... go figure. It's absolutely not medically necessary to circumcise. in the vast majority of cases. Prophylactic circumcision makes no more sense than prophylactic mastectomy or testicle removal.
Very few men experience problems later in life, and in many cases for those that do there are simple non-surgical alternatives available. Biologically speaking, it's the same piece of skin that makes up the clitoral hood in women, and I don't know many women who advocate removing the clitoral hood from their newborn girls. The prevalence of routine circimcision in the States is largely rooted in the Victorian era when physicians thought putting carbolic acid on the clitoris was a good idea. Circumcision Information Resource Pages Steph: Female circumcision in predominantly Islamic countries is largely due to Pre-Islamic tribal customs and certain superstitions which persist into modern times, although circumcision isn't really an apt word... it's more or less excision of the labia and/or clitordectomy. Circumcision would be removal of the clitoral hood, which is analogous to removing the male foreskin. |
I am circumsized and I am glad that my parents did. I wouldn't want to have had the procedure done late male. I have been reading the bible as of late and I know that this is a religious practice so again, I am thankful to my parents.
