Peoria's got some great German and Irish restaurants ... but my favorite for brats is the Hofbrau.

And, for Irish, I like Morton's very own Paddy O'Flaherty's. Dinner place for Pixies visiting the Peoria area! (We ate here when PAGAN was held in Morton [Peoria]!) :irish:

 We had a seven course Irish banquet. A six pack and a boiled potato.

The local wines. :wine:

Almost everything is good here - the expectation of food quality is amazing. Some of my local favorites:
- Oakland Chinatown has awesome Cinese bakeries with hot pork buns and walnut cookies that are to die for
- San Francisco Japantown has tuna sushi that will literally melt in your mouth. My recent favorite is a "49er Roll" which has two types of tuna, a thin slice of meyer lemon, fish eggs, and salmon with rice and seaweed skin.
- My local SF Thai place has the best hand-made red curry chicken
- There's an Italian deli down the street that has hot coppa sandwiches with fresh mozzerella and sun dried tomatoes with a basil spread made fresh to order on a Dutch Crunch roll

Um....many more where this list came from. It's amazing that I still fit through a doorway!

Don't tell PF ... he'll be on the next flight. Maybe you want to get one and take it to Vegas. :)

PantyFanatic 04-13-2010 08:24 AM

They already have one on the plane. They keep it in the emergency kit in case they have to patch a hole in a fuel tank, mid flight. :yikes:
