Just open that little room in your head and hide in there till it's all over.

I go every six months for a checkup and a cleaning. Knock on wood, I've only had a couple of very small cavities in the last 10 years. Not really a problem with me.

I remember one time when my dentist was filling one of those, I suddenly heard him chuckle ... which is when I realized I was dozing off. He admitted, that didn't happen real often. :)

Soooo for the last week i;ve had toothache, and i've been ignoring it. Today i get up for work, i'm thinking ignoring isnt gonna last much longer.

My 2 last wisdom teeth are not happy, 1 broke in half and the other has a large hole. A tooth that has been filled is also playing up...well lets just say eating has not been pleasant lately.....its getting to the gotta go thing again, and damned if i want to!

When my dad split his wisdom he survived the night on southern comfort. Swish and swallow method.

For years I would only go to the dentist for emergency work. Like an abscessed tooth or needing my wisdom teeth yanked. When I moved in with Joe (my fiance :) ), and he took me to who is now my really great and cute dentist, who looked at my teeth in horror. Because of the 23 years of smoking and lack of proper dental care, my teeth were a mess. I had very deep pockets that needing scaling. This took me to periodontist who three visits and $5,000 later said I was good to start going back to my regular dentist. I go every four months for a cleaning and check-up. I still have a couple of very deep pockets that might need surgery later, but we are trying to ward that off for as long as possible.

Take care of your teeth!!

So, now it turns out the bear I married re-broke a tooth that needed repair before. She has an appointment (with a *different* dentist from the one that did the last two bits of work on her teeth that didn't hold) tomorrow to deal with it.
