In that case, wouldn't he have referred to 'Bonanza'? :boobs:  |
I watched the reruns at my grandmother's house when I was a kid.

And you're younger than me! What channel was it on, Neige? |
I'm not sure but I think it was on TV Land (on the satellite).

Oh! I was picturing you watching it as a small girl. I haven't seen much of TV Land so I'm out of the loop. |
Well, I was pretty young! We loved going to grand-mère's house because she let us watch TV all day :D
|
I guess I'm the one of the few here that would be the right age to have seen all these shows when they were new, rather than catching them in reruns. I don't recall a direct connection to the Beverly Hillbillies, altho they were all cut from the same cloth, it seems...but I do recall that Petticoat Junc. started not long after BH, & when Green Acres premiered a year or two later, it was made clear that Oliver Douglas' (Eddie Albert) farm was just down the road from Hooterville, & many charactors crossed over from one show to the other on a regular basis...one that stands out in my mind was the owner of the general store, whose name escapes me but I can see his face clear as all get out...I even have a vague memory of the actor doing many commercials for years after both shows ended...

never really watched the show but i do have “conjunction junction” stuck in my head now. :p

My nan used to let me watch soap operas with her. :) |
What's your function? Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses. :D

One of the girls in PJ had a boyfriend whose car had rail wheels, so he could drive to Hooterville without worrying about traffic (almost).
|
I have no idea about any water tower or a pig named Arnold, but I do know about the cement pond. And Scotzoidman, I think I read somewhere that Sam Drucker was the store owner in GA.
LMAO |
Of course he was...
& just a little net research would have reminded me of that, but being lazy sometimes is its own reward... |
