I'm at a loss for a name for your pup myself, which is unusual for me...we named our lab/blue heeler mix Riley, which has proven very appropriate...

But I couldn't let this thread go w/o adding that he does have his cute on...

& a warning to put everything out of his reach that you don't want chewed on, esp. being a Lab...

He looks like a Pongo to me... so cute!!!

And to ad to Scotz.. from our experience, labs are cute but dumb until they are 3 years old. They keep the cuteness, but get smarter.... lol Make to the 3rd year and you will have an awesome dog all the way around!.. :D

WOW! Some great names! I'm telling the family all of them and we really like a few and we've giggled over a few.
wyndhy we can't figure out what pic you mean, good names though.
Chey.. 3 years??!!??

jay-t I can't remember when I was last called 'Buddy", if ever. Funny thing is thats the name hubby favors for the pup.

No name yet.... I'll keep ya posted.
Thank You all!

Ever see a lab that's afraid of something? My granny has a black lab(has had her quite a few years now) and that dog is freakin' TERRIFIED of thunderstorms! She will pee all over herself trying to run and hide! She'll push people/chairs whatever out of the way to get under the kitchen table or into the master bathroom where she can hide in the shower!

IowaMan 05-11-2007 08:28 PM

Oh god yes. We had one when I was a kid and the poor guy was absolutely terrified of storms. Poor thing would jump in your lap and just shake.

On that train of thought, name him Dammit...the neighbors will be quite amused with the calls of "Come here, Dammit...get down, Dammit...stop that, Dammit"...

OK, I've just read a lot of books and they all point to this:

If you can't decide on a name, it means you haven't bonded properly.

I flipped through the book further and it stressed this fact:

SHIP THE PUPPY TO TORONTO, CANADA

ONLY STEPH CAN GIVE IT THE NAME IT DESERVES

Sorry, Teddy. It's a fact. PM me for details on how to get this puppy to Toronto. If I don't receive a PM in five minutes, I will call the authorities. There are authorities somewhere that will take the dog and make sure he's with me. Don't think I'm bluffing. Solon Sr. is already chomping at the bit. OK, so he's sleeping and twitching in his sleep but I KNOW he's going to turn into a guard dog and we're ready to have a major international issue here.

If you know what's best for you, the dog will be in Toronto by sunset.
