I loved....
- Miss Saigon - Les Miserables - Copenhagen (a play about nuclear physicists...of course I'd love it) - Midsummer Night's Dream - Taming of the Shrew |
Not so much of musical fan, but plays...
Midsummer Night's Dream is by far my favourite. I've seen it about 5 or 6 times by various companies who set it in various times and locations. I love how it can translate so well... Honourable mentions go to Passing Places, Waiting for Godot, Slab Boys (laughed my ass off and I rarely do that when I'm in a theatre...), and any Pratchett book performed on stage (but perhaps that's just cause I love Pratchett....?) Also, Shakespeare in any way shape or form... ...so I like plays... :p |
the stinky cheese man 'cause it's the first play i took my girl to see. and she got it! understood it ... the whole experience. why and how it's different than the movies or tv, what it must feel like to perform live on stage, how the set design is so important, how much a part of the theatre and the players and the play itself she felt.
she amazes me. |
