Doesn't matter so long as it's a passing grade.

OK, I did it! I went and had a physical for the first time in 15 years. The doctor is a very nice man and he did make me feel as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances.
He did the normal things and my blood pressure was 94/64, which seemed to make Joe very amazed and envious. But, Good Gravy, I had to get nekkid and have an unspeakable object probed inside my delicate girlie bits!! Not to mention having an EKG done by his nurse who has sadly had her entire personality removed. Then!!! He thought it would be a good idea to prescribe that I go on this 3 day diet to prove my determination. I may starve to death before I get thin!! I have to return in two weeks to have my test work revealed to me. I'm sure that it will all be fine. He said the exam went really well and that I don't have to have my girls :boobs: smashed until I'm 50. Waaahoooo on that! I'll keep you posted and thanks for caring. :) |

SMASHED??? In Australia if your exam goes badly they just do it again - what in the US if your exam goes badly they smash your boobies with a hammer?? WTF DO THEY DO TO GUYS??????? |
CTG,
Discipline must be maintained. |

I think she was referring to a mammogram. For the guys ... hmmmm ... a man-ogram? Actually, I think they just have you cough while touching your privates and probe the backside with a lubed finger in a latex glove. :rolleyes2 BTW ... glad things went well, Tess! We were thinking of you. |
TT good news. I hope your Dr. is not being skimpy with the mammograms. I'm not sure your age but once 40 it should really be a regular thing!

Yep... poke, prod and smash every year! |

It seems to vary from dr. to dr., & they seem to change the thinking year by year as well...latest I heard, if there's no family history of breast cancer, mammygrams can wait until after 50 (that's what mrs zoid has to look forward to now)...part of the debate was whether exposing healthy under-50 breasts to repeated x-rays was really helpful, or increasing the risk unneccesarily... |
Hey there!
Don't worry about that hon. My dr. has seen me in all different kinds of ways, from shaven completely to grown out to the landing strip. He's never made a comment. However, when I was pregnant and showed up to the place to check in to have the baby the nurse brought in her stuff to shave me for surgery and when she looked she said "oh wow! very nice job, how did you do that" I about died but was proud to that I did it. LOL Hugs |
Good question IWM - how did you manage to remain 'groomed' while pregnant?! I couldn't see a damn thing because of my bump so just tried to keep it trimmed - didn't dare go near it with a razor though!

TinglingTess,
Congratulations on the good exam. I'm sure the tests will come back normal/positive. :thumb: |
