Personaly I think the population problem is a self correcting one. Between global warming(it is a natural force, not man made), how much CO2 do humans put out a day, jihads, starvation from over population, war and just plain crazy people the population will self adjust.

maybe scotz, but just look at the rates now. it will be exponential on an almost monthly basis in the future - unless the avian flu does get us :vamp::D and in the distant past, i would have agreed that it would. but now we are smarter and very eager for it not to. if we find a way to stop or at least stem what a plague of that magnitude would do to our population, then the colonization of outerspace really is our only option.

osuche

It unfortunately is coming down to the "haves" and the "who cares?".

wyndhy,

Discussing my thingy and doohickeys in public is . . . actually good advertisement.

After watching the "Sports Disasters" marathon last nite, I'm convinced now that we could make a dent in this population thing by classifying events like the Javelin Catch as "extreme sports"...at least it would get the Darwin thing going again...
