Better change those colors...they're wearing "away" jerseys. :D And I'm a Packer fan as well, but if I had to choose between the two then I would say Pittsburgh. But only because I have inside information on their nutritional intake. ;) |
How fattening is Duck poody?
|
another packers fan here (for no other reason than i had hand-me-down packer jammies when i was a kid :p) but i am from pa so go steelers.
[cheerleader]push 'em up, push 'em up.wayyyyyyy up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/cheerleader] :D:D |
It's gotta be teh Pittsburgh Steelers.
|
Much as I would not mind seeing the Seahawks play the Cinderella role their first time at the Ball, seeing the Steelers take aprt the high-power offences of 2 very good teams (including Saint Peyton, as he's often known around east TN), I'd hafta put my $$$ on Pittsburg, if I was so inclined to bet...
...& Aqua, I know 'xactly how ya feel about wanting your homeboys go all the way, I felt the same about seeing the Titans come up a yard short a few short years back... |
I think you've gotta believe the Steelers are gonna ride home-town legend "the BUS" Jerome Bettis to a career ending victory in Detroit.
Seattle's a VERY good team and I honestly hope nobody believes it will be a cake-walk, but no team has done what the Steelers have in getting to the Super Bowl, and I just think they are too balanced and dangerous to be stopped. Come back next year Seattle, you've got the team to do it, but just not this season |
Steelers, no doubt.I've been a Steelers fan since 1984 when that asshole Irsay took my Colts to Indy.BTW...kiss my ass Peyton.
Seriously,I think the pressure will undo Seattle in the end. They have never been to a Superbowl and the high expectations from their fans must be an enormous drain on them mentally.Physically,as far as talent goes,I think it could go either way. |
True, the Hawks as a team have never been to the 'Bowl, but as individuals they have six players, I believe, that have been to the big game on other teams. The Steelers, from what I have heard, have only one.
I don't think pressure will be a factor. |
Correction, the 'Hawks have five players with 'Bowl experience.

I don't think it will be a factor in the usual sense either, i.e., I don't think Holmgren will let his team choke...but I still think Pittsburg has just been too dominating in the playoffs so far...the 'Hawks are a great team offensively, but they can't score points if the Steelers won't even let them SEE the ball until the 3rd quarter, which is what has happened to their last 2 opponents... |
The Steelers have certainly dominated the playoffs and the Hawks are very strong offensively, but it seems that no one wants to admit the Seahawks have a strong defense too. They practically held the Panthers to a standstill in the NFC championship game. Although I have heard that the Steelers 3-4 defense will likely give the Hawks some trouble.
|
Just because I think Holmgren is a near genius... I'm rooting for Seattle this go 'round.
