Basically, if you're not getting sick...your house is likely clean enough already.

I agree. Go for 70% plus or minus 10% that's how nature functions. I rarely get sick and I'm not the tidiest person. Clean, but not tidy. Wash hands often with any ol' soap. Close the lid, put the tooth brush under cover.

There have been some studies done that show a close relationship with the high number of allergies and resperatory issues with kids and the absolute cleanliness. A little dirt is good they're finding. Scrub out scuffs and nicks and put on a bandage, followed by a Boo-Boo kiss of course, and they're back out the door!

Probably if we saw how our foods are processed and stored we'd say something like, "Poopy toothbrush, heck, that's nothing ... you should have seen the sausage being made."

:yikes:

I look back on generation after generation of people who have survived dirty chopping blocks, grimey kitchen sinks, ring around the bath tub, toilette back up,not knowing how their wursts are made, mold, mildew, smudgy mirrors, dirty windows, stained coffee cups, dust bunnies, and have some how remained perfectly healthy.

Bug, germs and other "creepy crawlies" are part of life... nasty as they are.

What about the creatures that live where our eyelashes grow??

wyndhy 07-09-2005 02:25 PM

Steph 07-09-2005 02:30 PM

EWWWWWW....I remember seeing one of those ZOOOOMED in pictures of those beasties when I was a kid watching a nature program. They looked like caterpillers from HELL. I was terrified of them then, and the memory still gives me the shiverin-heebie-jeebies!

Man, what we do to kids in the name of education ;)

Take a walk down a dark alley at one in the morning and let me know if the biggest threat you feel is from what’s in the garbage cans.

Smith & Wesson does very little advertising.
