You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend. yep.
You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer. yep Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" or "feathers" and you kept it "pretty" with the comb you kept in your back pocket. OMG I still do! LMAO And I had the pixie haircut in the 4th grade! NEVER AGAIN. LOL ohhhhhhhhhh You forgot elephant pants! |
Hammer pants????? Hmmm...didn't make the list. But I had some of them. :D Theyw ere a loud red and black checked print.....and I LOVED them!
Anyone else used to layer their socks? Color-coordinated of course......Blue and white on one leg, white and blue on the other. :) If you ask me, it beat the Hell out of belly shirts and nose rings on 10 year olds. :p |

In high school for basketball we did. White tube socks on the inside and red ones rolled down over our high top basketball shoes. :) I wore the checkered or plaid pants. Didn't know they were called that. lol |
I had (in fact still have) Barbie with the 'bubble' hair style and Midge with her little flip-do. And then there was Scooter and Skipper, the little sisters.
Anybody else have the doll, I think her name was Tressie?, push a button on her tummy and her pony tail would grow, insert the key in her back to make it short again...? A big thing for my family was to go to 'A & W Drive-In'. The waitress' roller skated to your car and hooked a little tray on your driver side widow. We never ate there (Dad felt it was to expensive) but we got root beer in huge frosted mugs. yumm! And how about drive-in movies.... not many of them around anymore. We usually fell asleep before the movie ended. |

I had one of those dolls Teddy! Well, that is until my little sister decided she needed a haircut and cut off her ponytail! LOL My first job was at an A&W when I was 12. :D Shhhhhhhhhh....my parents would take all of us to the drive-in. They would show the Mr. Magoo cartoons and some others at the beginnig and then we would be told to go to the back of the TravelAll on our blankets to go to sleep while my parents would watch a racy (it was soft porn) movie.. lol - yes they showed those at the drive-in - the big screen was located outside of town in the country. What my parents didn't know was that if I was laying just right in the back, I could see the reflection of the movie in the back window.. ;) and of course I could hear what was going on from the speaker that dad hung on his car window. :D :hippy: |
I saw Star Wars at the drive in the first 5 times I saw it.
|
the big drive in i remember was the goonies
|
My favorite drive-in memory was watching Footloose with my dad. :)
I *loved* to dance..... |
