OK.. I have become enlightened!!! LOL This is what I found out from the United States Postal Service... ____________________ Prohibitions for Australia Coins; bank notes; currency notes (paper money); securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler's checks; platinum, gold, and silver (manufactured or not); precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles are prohibited. (I can understand this...) Fruit cartons (used or new). (Totall understandable) Goods bearing the name "Anzac." (Not sure what that is...) Goods produced wholly or partly in prisons or by convict labor. (Why does this matter?) Perishable infectious biological substances. (OK, so no white powdery substance) Radioactive materials. (DUH) Registered philatelic articles with fictitious addresses. (What does ths mean???) Seditious literature. (Will have to look up that word ) Silencers for firearms. (Understandable) Used bedding. (Why would anyone do this????) ______________________ It doesn't say anything about VHS tapes or DVDs!!! :D The postage isn't too bad either... $5.00 for a 6x10 padded envelope - I wasn't sure how much the package would weigh so I entered 2 lbs 6 oz... Thought this was interesting!! :D |
