When I was 19 or 20 on my way up to Seattle from Portland I got a flat tire. I didn't have a spare, and I was short on cash. I thought for sure I was going to be stuck, when a very nicely dressed asian man stopped and not only bought me a new tire, but changed it for me. He told me he owed someone else this 'favor' and that he was passing it on to me. Since then I stopped whenever I see someone stranded on the side of the road and assist them any way I can, telling them this same story.
If everyone 'passed it on' imagine how much better this world would be!
