PantyFanatic...I'm blushing. I worked public radio as a membership and volunteer manager for 7 years. Loved it! the Tappit brothers were/are extremely popular and there was quite a competition between Morning Edition, All Things Considered & Fresh Air. When we put Prairie Home Companion on, the reaction was a definite 50/50 mix. Retirees loved it and the younger set couldn't stand it. Glad you like my taste in earwaves. :o)

9 times outta 10 I'll have either the radio or the TV on while I'm on the computer. The radio or TV are security blankets for me. My computer is set on a built in desk in my living room....and it so happens my TV and stereo are in that room as well. My back is to the TV though....so it's not like I'm watching all the time.....it's mostly for background noise.
While puting.....hubby and I will interact as to happenings on the TV or something I stumble across on the puter.....and it works out well cause I am able to chat in a chat room (or whatever) and talk with hubby at the same time (though there are times I wish he'd shut his cake hole...lmfao!). In essence......I could live without the TV and the radio (but I'd hate not having the background noise)....but I couldn't live without my computer and online friends......and I never want to know what it's like to live without my family! Priorities... Family Computer TV Radio in that order......if I had to choose! *looks around to see if Aqua has received the ass call and is on his way* |
Radio around here is complete shit except for a friend of mine's extreme metal show every Saturday midnight. AM radio is filled with barely-literate talkback provocateurs and FM is filled with "hits" from 3 years ago I'd almost been able to forget. If I am using the computer with background noise, it has to be *my* noise, otherwise I get irritable.
