Speaking of peanuts, I often wonder how it's possible that all the squirrels around my house are always running around with nuts in their mouths. I don't see a stockpile of peanuts anywhere.

Boiled?? :confused: Why have I never heard anything except "Get your fresh.. ROASTED.. peanuts!" I often wondered how you roast something inside a shell. Wouldn't that be baking it?
I knew "goober peas" was another name for peanuts, but hot, wet, peanuts sounds like a whole different thing. Wouldn't they float? How the hell would you boil them? (Can you tell I don't cook?;) )

Huge pot filled with water and a cup of salt. They float til they absorb enough of the salty water. You cook them for hours. :slurp:

Somebody around here got me hooked on deep fried dill pickles ... although as much as I love them, I probably couldn't quite eat my weight in them. Maybe just two legs and an arm or so. :D

And....our squirrels are stock piling "horse chestnuts" and black walnuts at the moment....I think they use em as currency when they go and buy peanuts at the little squirrel store in the woods! LMAO!

Can you buy "raw green peanuts" anywhere? Sounds like something I'd like to try. :)

I would think a health food store, maybe a larger one, might carry them, DB.

I bought mine at the grocery store.Even super Walmarts have them.

Those damn Walmarts have everything, don't they? Raw green peanuts you can now get there? Jees, that'll spell the end of the mom & pop raw green peanut shop downtown! I'd picket, but no one will join me!

I was going to say chocolate..but all that talk about raw green peanuts may have just changed my mind :)
