Have you tried Potato, leek and parmesan soup?

Neige 10-17-2009 06:14 PM

No, I haven't, Oldfart. Leeks aren't something I buy much, I find them expensive.

Tonight I am making molasses bread and crock pot beans!

Pita 10-17-2009 07:46 PM

I had broccoli cheese soup and half a turkey sandwich at Panera Bread.

Leeks are not common here, though I have been led to believe they're the national flower of Wales.

Molasses here is an industrial base for rum, rarely a foodstuff. Crock pot beans sounds nice.

I had Waffle House. Better than nothing.

Will be having pulled pork snadwiches tonight for dinner. Just got done pulling the pork after letting it rest for and good hour and cooking it first for about 6 out on the grill with smoke then another 4 hours inside. Still have to make the sauce for it sometime after I get up and make it to the store to pick up a couple things I'll need for it.

Oldfart 10-18-2009 04:17 AM

Snadwiches, now why didn't I think of that?

Neige 10-19-2009 03:26 PM

I'm making seafood lasagna tonight! :D

Oldfart 10-19-2009 06:23 PM

You've piqued Mrs OF's interest, so long as there aren't any prawns (shrimp) in it.

Neige 10-19-2009 06:52 PM

There are, and scallops and haddock too.

Oldfart 10-20-2009 12:51 AM

Bechamel sauce?

Neige 10-20-2009 10:42 AM

Oh yes!

GusAspar 10-20-2009 12:52 PM

Fisherman's pie (and it's nearly seven o'clock, so I'd better start cooking)

Maleslut1186 10-20-2009 02:16 PM

I am making a pork roast with rosemary potatoes, asparagus and homemade gravy. It is the time of year in the North East for roasts

rabbit 10-20-2009 06:32 PM
