weekend in NYC for my 10th wedding anniversary in July (ok that and the cruise we book over new year's to celebrate the aforementioned anniversary....)

Yes, he has at least one! :rofl:

But he actually wasn't able to fix it himself - there was one piece he couldn't figure out how to remove and he was scared of breaking it so he took it to a guy who works on puters back home and he was able to solder the connections back together, asked my dad 50$. Still a hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the main board or buying a new one!!!!!
