We are working on peotry this week in English. I am not the poetic type and I can't even describe what it means.

Since you all are so nice here, could you possibly give me some poems. All I will do is rewrite them to fit me. I won't use your poems unless you say it is ok.

I am doing this so I can keep my A in the class.

it's not hard, you know. not really. poetry doesn't have to rhyme, and can even be simply seventeen syllables long (haiku). the easiest way to start is to describe something in your own words.. someone, a moment, an event, a view, anything. write it out, then try to rewrite your thoughts so that it flows...

Thanks for the push, when I come up with something, I will post it and let all of you see how I did.

Mother held her little daughter
fifteen minutes under water.
Not to get her into troubles
but to see the water bubbles. :D

Here is some of the poems that I have done so far. Be nice

Make-up:
They put it on their faces
like a mask to cover something
When they take it off
they reveal everything

It is just a mask
made of dust and colors
Is this my true colors????

Lion:
Such a majestic beast
not knowing in the least
That he isn't the kind of the jungle
Because this world is a new jungle

It is one of guns and war
technology, and people who are sore
Sore at the world for something
not knowing that onething

The world is not just of people and hate
but a world of nature and peace
For those who can't see to wait

That Lion sits there and hesitates
maybe he should wait. For he might,
stay on his land and put up a fight...
