This new flu strain from Mexico is a worry. It's done more in weeks than the Bird Flu did in Years.

Got a very important email yesterday.

They once said that a black man would be president when pigs fly. His first 100 days and wham!! Pig's flu!

As of yesterday, MD had 4 cases confirmed: however, the CDC site seems to be lagging, news reported this morning that more have been confirmed around here.

It was newsworthy when it appeared to be killing otherwise healthy people, when it turned out that the death toll had been...exaggerated  just a bit, it's just another flu bug, ho hum...still, I consented to have a flu shot last fall for the 1st time in my life, on dr's orders, since I seem to be now among those "most vulnerable" to ordinary flu bugs, I will be waiting in line when they finally get the vaccine online :hair:

WHO has just raised the indicator to 6. Yes, there's a global pandemic.

It is the first influenza pandemic since 1968, when Hong Kong flu killed a million people.
