I heard a Zeppelin song last week on the radio that I had NEVER heard before. (And I listen to Zeppelin, so it was shocking) I'm sure it was Zeppelin because no one else sounds like that! Anyhow, I caught it halfway through the song, and I don't remember any of the words. But the song is haunting me...I can't figure out what it is and I've asked EVERYONE I know! It was an accoustic song with Conga drums instead of a drum set...and it was not Tangerine or Dancing Days...or any of the usual songs that are played on the radio. Does anyone have any idea what it might be, or can anyone direct me to a site where I can listen to their songs and find out what it is!

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!!!!

OMGoodness hun! That's not much to go on! Type Led Zepplin into your browser and there should be plenty of links to look through to find one that might help you figure it out! Wish scotz or Aqua were here. They'd prolly know the answer! Sorry I can't be of more help. My brother woulda been able to tell you but he's not with us anymore. He was the Zep expert...*sigh*

Good Luck!

Thanks....I did that and couldn't find anything....And this song is haunting me....I know it isn't much to go one...but the song is pretty unique...because it's not hard rock like most of their other songs....so hopefully that will help the "experts" figure it out!!!! Thanks for trying Lixychick!!!

Just an after thought...but, can you call the station that you heard it on? They keep records of songs played on certain days...and they might be willing to help!

Just a possibility.Could it be a song from one of Robert Plant's solo albums?

That is possible! HMMMMMM!!!! It was def. him!!!
I don't know if any of you listen to Porno for Pyros....but it sounded like something that Perry Ferrell would cover on the Under the Tajitian Moon Album. It had that kind of sound....if that helps....

That would be my guess as well, Mackenzie. Try a search on Robert Plant and see what that turns up. I'm not a huge Zepplin fan, that's my hubby's territory. But I do know Robert Plant did some solo work.
Good Luck on your search.

Thanks everyone!!!!

ALSO.....I remembered the song being very sexy...which probably doesn't help much because all of their songs are sexy!LOL!
It was the kind of song you want to play while someone rips off all of your clothes and throws you up against the wall......now you see my obsession!LOL!

Mackenzie,

You can find the song on the Led Zepplin BBC Sessions CD. It's track 8, disk 2. There are also some other really good songs not released commercially that occasionally make it to the radio as well as some live / studio recordings done specifically for a BBC radio program. I like "Traveling Riverside Blues" and "The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair".

Hope this helps!

Mackenzie! I wasn't ignoring you, I was out of town. I am not a Zep specialist I just love a couple of their songs...in particular Kashmir.

The Music Pervfesser enters...

<ahem> "That's the Way" was on LZ III, & was all acoustic, but I don't remember any congas...one of my personal favs tho, reminds me of my LedZep fanatic friend from jr high...I think from the way you've described it, it might be something from Unledded, if memory serves that was Page & Plant doing some of their songs for MTV's "unplugged" series...I seem to recall JP Jones being miffed at not being asked to join them...
