I like the fit so far...what are the chances that we might be able to have a working link from Pixies home page anytime soon? That might improve the traffic flow (the only thing that isn't great about the the new place ;) )

Bake gently until he's cooked, then allow to slightly cool and then top up the Cointreau.

I've been in the chat a couple of times, never had any trouble.
Now this week for some reason I am unable to get in...
I"ve tried clicking on the chat link, or the Chat box in the upper right corner. The open a chat server but all I can manage is to find a room all by myself
I've even tried MIRC and again everything works out perfectly, but I end up again alone in a room I've created called Pixies...

Any suggestions anyone?

Well GreenChef had trouble getting there through the java this week too - maybe your solution would be getting an IRC script such as mIRC (www.mirc.com). The server is irc.outworldchat.com, the port 6667 and the room #pixies-place.

I'm using PIRCH. Boog gave it too me. Once in awhile we can't get in but for the most part we do. I know there was another server change but the port is still the same I think.

I have'nt used the Mirc since boog redid my computer so I'm not sure what the problem could be. The JAVA has'nt worked for me in ages.

have you tried http://www.naughtychatnetwork.com salacious. Just click where it says chat now and it will get you to the chat server. then you can change your nick in the lower right hand side where it says "chnage nick to" and click on the channels button and pick Pixies-Place.

I saw in #HOT_TUB that you were looking for Joey. I also saw that when PF came in he said someone was having an issue with an error when trying to use the java chat. That error: "Unable to connect : java.net.SocketException : Software caused connection abort: connect" is a problem with the user's PC, not the java or the site.

This message will appear in the chat window when security software or hardware, such as antivirus software or a firewall, on your computer or your network, is preventing your computer from talking to the IRC server. In other words, your security software or hardware is attempting to "protect" you from chat. We commonly see this problem with the Windows XP firewall, Zone Alarm, McAfee, and some anti-virus software with built in firewall. Also, if you are accessing chat via a corporate intranet or some similar network, often times IRC traffic will be blocked by a network firewall.

In most cases the firewall software is blocking the "port" that the chat is trying to use (in our case, 6667) so its just a matter of going into the firewall's settings where you can allow ports and "allow" the irc ports. If its your Windows Firewall, go to Start/Control Panel/Windows Firewall/Exceptions/Add Port...then name the exception, like "ircchat", then specify the port "6667", then make sure "TCP" is selected, then OK and OK again.

I hope this corrects the issue. If not, let me know! :fix:

If you have XP and have let it update, it is blocking the scripted windows that prompt you for information and let you use the button controls. You may be able to click a box at the top of your internet page to allow your computer to work with scripted windows temporarily.
