I've been at my job for 17 years....and most all the long time patients know me well.....for some odd reason they all want to sit in my chair and tell me the damnedest things.....here's some of the things i do NOT wanta know:

1)An in-depth description of the the wart on your husband's penis

2)Your recent study on the mating habits of slugs

3)(I'm drawing your blood) I DO NOT need to know that many details of your bowel habits

4)About the film *wink wink* that you watched last night (as you grab yourself and drool slightly)

5)That you're moving into the nursing home next month and you're hoping that will improve your sex life and do I think the dr would give you some samples of viagra before you go.

LMAO @ Kathy. Great list.

* If you're not my close friend, don't complain about your hubby/wife/kids. It's just disrespectful. You're bringing down those who love you to a stranger.
* Your sexual adventures or lack thereof

That's all I can think of for now!

Depends on the circumstance...but I'll discuss damn near anything. I'm having trouble thinking of something "too personal" Maybe, the mechanics of anal sex with Nancy, the new girl at work/in the neighborhood, or something like that. I guess it's mostly about timing. There is a time and place for everything!

I'm not fond of discussing bodily functions.

hmmm....depends on who with. There's nothing I won't discuss with ANYONE. There are things I talk about here that I won't at work, and things about work that I don't like to here. If that makes sense.

I don't LIKE talking about my childhood anywhere, but that's cause it's not a fun topic and I don't need to any more. If it became relevant, I'd bore y'all to death with it ;).

Dunno, have to think about this one some more...

It really depends on my comfort level with each individual. But maybe that's a bit specific? I mean, what I can talk to one person about is much too sacred to discuss with another.

In general...yeah, bodily function's one I'm not comfortable with for anyone.

depends on the person. bigbad is the only person for whom i don't think anything is too personal, although i may blush or squirm while talking about it. everyone else, my body and all its functions-pleasurable or otherwise :D. oh and illness, too.

In general I don't tend to discuss money issues with someone who isn't REALLY close (emotionally) to me.

I'll listen to pretty much anything someone feels they need to discuss and be happy to comment on it from a "third-party" type perspective. And I'll discuss "private" issues of my own if I think it will help a person. Not shy about it, just don't want to be inappropriate either. :)

For me it depends on the person and what I am talking about. I have told some of my deepest secrets to someone that is practically a stranger when I wouldn't tell my closest family. Or there are things I would only tell my family that I wouldn't ever tell anyone else.

I am one of them that will stand in a line and talk to anyone. I am a good listener and people have always told me things that are deeply personal. I like to help other even if it means just being someone there.

What I don't like to talk about is bodily functions (of course) or financial problems (I have broken this rule and always wish I hadn't)
