I highly recommend snopes.com, if something doesn't ring true, look it up there. They de-bunk much of the stuff that is circulating out there.

We have unconfirmed reports that BORU's account was temporarily tampered with earlier today. Apparently several links appeared in a post under his name that lead directly to suspected government dis-information sites which closely resemble REAL websites that serve the public by debunking urban legends.

The real interesting part is that we used similar titles to our threads and also with our comments.

It is interesting to see how certain threads receive many views and posts, while other, and to my eye, quite similar threads vanish, making harly a ripple. I remember thinking of this when I followed the link above. I'm unsure if there are any "causes" or if it is merely random.

Boru, I use snopes.com all the time and I did with this too. I used “9-11 Pentagon” for the search. It didn’t find this. What’d you use to search? I would not have posted it if I’d found it in snopes.

jseal, I wonder if the number of views given to various threads has to do with a catchy title, who it was authored by, the time of day or when during the week it was posted and how many folks visit Pixies at that time, is it random, or….. Actually even though it's not true, I’m glad there are people questioning what we see & hear in the media and not just blindly accepting everything we’re told. And I’m glad we live in a country where questions like this can be raised.

I still think it’s an interesting piece. Just look at how it got all of you thinking and talking.

It is good that people are always looking out for what really happend. I disagree with the method that is used in this video. All it tries to say is that since it can't be seen it didn't happen. If you are going to take the time to denounce something you better take the time to come up with alternate ideas as to what did happen.

I typed in "pentagon airplane" and it was number one in the search results. Boy, I sure am glad to read the reactions to this post! Everything from celebrating freedom of the press to double checking the mass media machine!!!

This Canadian fully supports the United States of America, I hate the misinformation and deliberate attempts to mislead and divide the people of your great nation. Let freedom reign, it is regrettable that the current administration has to try and justify what they did to please others. In my opinion, Saddam was a bad man, removing him was right, mistakes were made, I trust Bush will do all he can to try and fix them. It is definitely time for a man of action, and Bush certainly has proved himself that. (sorry for the soap box stuff there at the end, I just couldn't help myself)
