Report to muster station here and tell me why you love (or hate) this great town...

I've been a Londoner all my life. I love the London attitude, the expansiveness, the sheer diversity in every sense, the Tube heaving with totty in the rush hours and most other times, the fact you're near to a party any night of the week.

I hate the house prices, the lack of discos in the suburbs, the traffic, the coldness (when sober) to strangers....

But yeah, overall, the pluses have it.

I'd love to move there but I'll settle for a poor cousin in Toronto for now ~ same diversity, same crazy prices. Your prices are killer, though! We pay $5 for a pint of Guinness which would cost us $7.50 (Cdn) in your city.

Well I have have been to both London & Toronto and they do not hold a patch to Sydney, Australia. :p

jaybee - I'm not in London, thank God - can't stand the place personally, but thought you should know that life does exist outside London, y'know.

I have lived in Cardiff, and I also know Sheffield pretty well, and I'd say that pretty much all of the things you like about London are available there too, and in both places the people are far more friendly, and the property prices (while pretty high) are not stupid as they are in London. Oh and in Cardiff, the crime rate in the city centre is pretty minute, and the traffic's rarely a problem either.

At the moment, however, I don't live in either of these cities, but even where I am, there's a party every night of the week. :)
