My latest assignment...

Name 3 places where you can find a possible mate...

Sounds easy.. right? WRONG...

Now.. keep in mind.. the bar scene is OUT.. no chance.. not my kind of thing.. church.. well.. lets just say I have to get over the fear of lightening striking me dead...

so.. everyone.. list 3 places where meeting a potential date/mate is a possibility...

Thanks ;)

By the way, not everyone involved in amateur drama is necessarily into putting themselves in the limelight - if you have any skills with a paint brush or a roll of wall paper, a make-up brush, good with money and figures or are just good at organising things then there's tons you'd be good at/ useful for in that environment.

Laundry Mat (even if you have a washer/dryer...single guys abound at the laundry mat...and as a bonus, they know how to wash clothes or at least they are trying!)

Local park (cycling, walking, walking the dog kinda stuff)

Library (takes a bit more ingenuity because of the "shhh" factor, but with good observational skills...voila!)

"How to" clinics at the local home improvement stores always seem to have a few interesting people involved.

Discussion groups at a local bookstore.

Hobby meets for anything you're involved in. You'd already have some common ground to begin a conversation.

Wow, great ideas!

~grocery store (a guy did ask my sister out at one the other day)
~line-up (I bet a line-up for a book signing of an author you like would be ripe for the pickings!)
~friends' parties

Coffee shops, book stores, garden stores (I walk in, look just as baffled as I am, and helpful people spring up), various clubs and classes, the gym, the park, concerts, museums....hang on, I'm over my 3 aren't I.

Shoot, I can't choose. Pick your favorites.

Long distance flights are good.
But you can get to know people anywhere and when you least expect it. Was stuck in a lift and got to know someone.
I think if you go 'looking' you will not find anyone. It just happens.

ROFLMFAO! When I read "line-up"...I thought you meant a police line-up (ya know, when they stand them in that lighted room with the height measurements on the wall behind them and the victim picks the culprit from behind a two way mirror). I was gonna yell NOOOOOOOOOO! Don't listen to her jenna! But...

Um...nevermind!

all of your suggestions are fantastic... tho.. since I live in a rural area.. it makes it more difficult.. dating should be soooooooo much easier and less traumatic..

LMAO. How about home repairmen? I've had 2 hit on me this week. :D

Maybe you need to call some out for "free estimates" ~ LOL. And at least you know they're handy...and employed. :D :p :D
