To all the pixies in florida:
I've been watching the news and have seen the devastation there..... please know you are all in my heart and prayers....I realize most of you prolly don't have any electricity right now, so it may be awhile before you even read this.....when and if you can, please let us know you're all ok.....and to my friend there, please, oh please, let me know you're ok......

Well we made it through pretty good. Charley changed course and just missed us with the full brunt of it.
Mostly lots of trees were uprooted and business and homes damaged. There are still lots of people without power and phone service.
There are 15 reported deaths from one area that got his very hard.

Hello all,
I just wanted to take a few seconds (of borrowed generator energy) to get online and say things are well here. The whole town here is without power, unless you are a lucky person and get a generator. We do have running water and phone lines (off and on). My husband and myself drove to another town about an hour away to get gas and a few groceries.
Well I must shove off. I can't waste all the power on my selfish wants (and needs).
Miss you all and hope to be back on SOON!!!

So long as our people are safe, property's replaceable, Pixies aren't.

Has anyone heard from Prophet??? So far as I can tell he's still unaccounted for and I'm really getting worried. I spoke to him before Charley hit and he said it wasn't forecast to be hitting near him, but I know it did change direction slightly. So now I don't know if he's safe and just without power or what. I'm really beginning to worry about him. If you're out there, Hon, PLEASE let someone know you're safe and sound!!!!!

Sprinkles,
Please give the poor person a chance to get near some power to check in.

OF, I don't even know for sure if he is without power. It may have missed him completely. I just don't know, that's why I'm worried. Is that so wrong?

To all concerned Iam alive and well. Charley missed me completly. But do to my work, I was on the emergency commitee and had to work to help all the calls coming with the hurricane. All I got was rain and wind and lose tree limbs.

You have no idea how relieved I am to know you're safe and sound :spin: ...and I know I'm not the only one who was concerned about you, Dear. I know you'd said you weren't near where it was predicted to go, but then when no one had heard from you we weren't sure what to think. Thanks for letting us know you're alright.

I was thinking of all our Floridian Pixies as the news reports came in, just haven't had computer time to tell you all so.
Glad to know you're safe.

YEAH! Power is fully restored as of late late last night! Stores started opening here (well some). I heard Wal-mart was open yesterday so I went (needing things of course). When I got there I was a little shocked. All the produce that hadn't been thrown away yet was rotten and there was nothing cold! I somewhere in my thinking thought Wal-mart would still be Wal-mart. Cold AC nice calming music! Boy was I wrong. There was no AC no music and barely any food. I grab a few boxed snacks for the kids and left.
Now with the power back I will be creaping through again. ;) Think I might scoot through pics. :D

Excellent! I know they are predicting no power til next week in some areas. On my way down south I rode with a caravan of about 30 cherry pickers with men from Illinois Power (along with tree trimmers from Ohio and Red cross and National Guard from allllll over) heading down to help....I tried to liven up their journey. ;)
