I have saved a fortune as well. Purchased 4 of my textbooks on half.com. I spent about $100 for 4 books that would have easily run me $250!

Excellent excuse for a naked happy dance!!!

I'd get naked too but I'd probably fall asleep NAKED at the keyboard and THEN what would happen?

I'd drool on my keyboard shorting it out, thus accidentally electrocuting myself. No, I'd better stay dressed tonite. *snerk*

ROFL Same flashback here! My science & engineering friends were fleeced the most. Every semester a new edition for a book.

I spent about $365 last semester and that was with buying what I could used. Although I live in a town with 2 huge unis, I go to a small private one and none of the book stores have a contract with it. So afterwards you often can not even sell the book back.

In this town even though I do attend Ohio University or at least a branch of it, we have one bookstore and it's in no way a part of the school. I paid over $300 for three books last time and two of them were used, those I was able to sell back for $60. But this cheesed my maccroni, the brand new book I was unable to sell back because they had changed editions, it was the most expensive. I was royaly screwed so that's why I turned to online bookstores. After my results last night I think this new way will be the only. Thank you all for dancing with my happy sleepy self. ( sheesh just realized that was long winded, sorry)

i've been an avid buyer and seller on half.com with textbooks and even nintendo gamecube games. I have earned over 500 dollars for all my texts (so much more than what I would have gotten if I just went and traded them in right at my school). However, a word of warning: I just ordered a book and never received it, after I gave my money (half.com), so I have had to file a claim with them...this is my first time having a problem however, I've used half.com for at leat 2 years now dealing with books. My other caution comes also from amazon.com's marketplace, where I've had the exact same problem. I've used them for a little under 2 years, but still......it's definitely not fair to be ripped off like that, when I've sent all my books on time and also have given very fair prices. Thank goodness that I know at least amazon.com has a great policy so I received my refund, I hope I don't have any problems with half.com, but I don't anticipate having any.

wow. I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope everything works out and you get your money back even though it might have taken even more to file the claim. I chose Amazon for the reason of their costomer care policy and the money back option. Thank you for sharing.
