I pick up extra money recording radio commercials. My most recent one contained the line "Would you rather see something you missed, or not have seen something you didn't want to?" so naturally the first thing I thought of was that it makes a great question for all of you Pixies!

So, that having been said...

1 - What's the one thing you had the opportunity to see and regret that you missed?

2 - What's the one thing you did see, but really, really wish you hadn't?

1~~~wish I had seen Live Aid!~~~~~was a student nurse at the time, and had been to party the night before and ~~~~~~well slept through it!

2~~~~~ there have been many terrible incidents that have been shown "live" on the news whilst I was at work~~~~~~~~The Dunblane Killings, 9/11, fires at football stadiums, Diana's death, etc, etc~~~~~~~~~~~~~~these terrible things make the good things in life harder to see.~~~~~and trying to explain them to kids is heartbreaking!

1. May 18th, 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helen. I knew it was coming and didn’t go there.:(

2. My father said it about the service.
“It’s an experience you wouldn’t take a million dollars for, and one you won’t give a nickel to do again.”
He was right!

2 - really wish I hadn't: I'll just say it was a medical call I went on one day since I was right there, first one there.

1- When I was 16, I had the chance to tour Europe with an Indian dance troup called the Nimenkepanche dancers. We did traditional indian dances from several different tribes. I didn't wind up going because I had to choose between that, and doing Ballet with the leading ballet school in my state. Practice and class didn't mesh, on top of holding a job, and teaching lil kids dance at another studio. I had to stop juggling one of the balls, and that was the one to drop.

2- I honestly can't think of anything that I would completly want to erase from my memory.

1) My grandmother, while she was in the hospital. They kept telling me she was going to get better and she didn't. I had just seen her the week before so I did not drive the 5 hours to see her. HUGE regret.

2) The face of the man in the armed robbery I was involved in. Changed my life and made me a much more fearful person. The ensueing trial etc. was a pain because I could identify both the men. I was so young and it gave me nightmares and flashbacks for quite some time. Changed me.

Missed, most of the 60's

Wish I'd missed, nothing of relevance because without it,

I wouldn't be me.

OMG! I've heard that radio commercial! I even commented on it to a co-worker........um.......but I digress again!

[Could have, but didn't] My son!!! My mom saw him, but I couldn't bring myself to go with her. I could have...but I didn't! I live with this thought every single day of my life!

[Did see, and wish I hadn't] My mother take her last breath. This is not the actual truth, because if I hadn't been there I would now wish I was......so it's tough to say! But it's the only thing that comes to mind!
